While cliche in its presentation, attitude of gratitude is most accurate for stating the obvious i.e. who isn't glad to be here; here being alive & being able to participate in life's many non-stop come what may? If you stop to think about it or if you just pause or even lend a ponder, the human default by nature is one of non-stop receiving from a never-ending sending SOURCE. This is what I think of when it comes to our freedoms like voting, religion, free speech and travel. Next time you eat a burger & fries or go to the movies or perhaps BBQ with friends and neighbors, consider it is no accident that you can do this but instead, hard fought and won. I will not be eating TURKEY for the first time in my entire little life. I used to do a King Henry feast a thon and set the standards for meat eating and on Thanksgiving, I was known to tackle the Turkey leg, thigh and wing with two handed gusto! Seconds came hours later. But not this time. WHY? I have completely lost all desire and taste for meat. It has been several months now ROASTED SUCCULENT MEAT I am not a vegetarian, a crusader or a meat hater for that matter. Everyday is a good day. Who is telling you otherwise..? What makes you think that there is more to the day that the day itself..? Look how it starts for most of us.
