life lessons: THE POWER OF LEMONADE COMES FROM LEMONS - 12/30/12 10:59 AM
The lessons in life are more often than not disguised as other things whether they be good or bad which of course remains subjective. Life is a very personal and exclusive experience for everyone and will continue to be. People and their experiences may be similar but never duplicated. So what do we do when life lemons are out and about?
THE LESSONS AND LEMONS COME TO ALL
It would be nice and considered a perfect world where people could be approached and given feedback and input and that being sufficient modify or change their behaviors for the good of all. However, that … (9 comments)

life lessons: THE MESSAGE VERSUS THE MESSENGER - 05/21/12 02:28 PM
How often do we all take the bait...the low hanging fruit and succumb to the temptation of the moment. The result? The messenger has been shot or taken hostage. The message goes unheeded. If we can reverse this or even better just observe it all, change would make its way to whatever is going on. The first change would be on how we handle the situation at hand
MESSAGE COMING IN
Thirty years ago, I once turned away an all cash buyer because they didn't look, sound, or act like one. What made it worse is they didn't speak good English and … (2 comments)

life lessons: TEXTING WHILE DRIVING YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING OR HAVE A DEATH WISH - 10/03/11 11:30 AM
Margaret my esteemed colleague suggested I do a piggy back blog (sort of) on her subject of driving while texting. New Law in Maryland..No Texting....No Emailing While Driving! We Need to Get the Word Out! http://actvra.in/kCr caused me to comment as follows..
TEXTER SIGHTED AHEAD
When someone driving in front of you slows down or does the side to side car sway, you know it someone who is learning to text and drive or it is someone that is no good at it. Perhaps in time this person may or may not perfect their new found belief..Meanwhile, we are now … (8 comments)

life lessons: MAY THIS DAY REWARD YOU ACCORDINGLY INVEST HEAVILY IN IT - 09/16/11 12:02 PM
What you put into something will determine what you get back. Life is as simple as that. Invest in yourself and others and watch and see what comes pouring forth. Life is to be lived, explored, sampled, and shared. Up the ANTE on this and all you did was improve your own experience. It doesn'tmatter what your circumstances are either
THE WONDER AT WORK
Let this one thought permeate your whole being. Your self, the essence within you is powered by no less than something so great that it has no equal. It only requires that you use it to know … (2 comments)

life lessons: PAPER...SCISSORS AND.... ROCK - 07/18/11 07:02 PM
It is interesting to note that each one is a power unto its self depending on when it comes up and what it comes up against. Think about this. Substitute people for the different parts played and it becomes a different game. A person can be paper, scissors or rock and apply that to circumstances and to then prevail. Maybe it is not a game?
PAPER... SCISSORS AND... ROCK =PEOPLE
A person who is harmless and unassuming yet functional can be paper. You don't even look twice at it or concern yourself. But it can win against the rock every-time. However, … (0 comments)

life lessons: GIANT ROOTS MAKE WAY THROUGH HARD ROCK...WHAT DO WE LEARN HERE..? - 07/04/11 06:10 PM
Observe the picture below...It speaks well and invokes within us a response. Mine had to do with the principal of time. There are three converging points of view here. The mountain, the root and the observer of it all, but who is observing who? Each moves in and out of its own time and makes for an interesting observation/conservation
TIME IS DIFFERENT FOR ALL
The mountain is probably millions of years old...let that sink in. Millions of years...Then, near by, literally plants itself and then roots its way to life. No excuses, nothing to stop it or come against it, it … (4 comments)

life lessons: WHAT ONE PERSON CAN DO....ANOTHER CAN DO - 06/29/11 12:33 PM
Stop and think about this. Life has no boundaries on you and all is available and accessible to explore and sample. Here, in the United States of America, we are encouraged even further to live life, have liberty, and pursue happiness which is different for each one of us. How wonderful then it is to be here and alive and have access to it all...
WE ARE PRIVILEGED
What is it you want to be when you grow up is not a question asked and answered in many parts of the world. It is not available to quite a few people … (6 comments)

life lessons: WHY WATCH TELEVISON..? BE A REAL ESTATE AGENT INSTEAD...its a great channel! - 06/29/11 12:06 PM
I have been enjoying being a Real Estate agent for over 33 years now...This business never fails to amaze me because no two transactions are a like and the people involved are some of the most interesting characters you are ever going to meet. Unlike TV or the movies, REAL Estate has REAL people in it and it just delivers
PRINCIPALS AND CLIENTS
I thoroughly enjoy the public meaning my principals and clients. Here we all get together to discuss big business and everyone has their way of going about it. The business in and of itself is not difficult, but … (8 comments)

life lessons: STARTING OVER...THE WORDS ARE SCARIER THAN THE ACTUAL JOURNEY - 06/02/11 01:18 PM
Many many years ago, I got my first taste of defeat. I managed to always pay my bills on time, buy the house, have the three cars and the family that goes with it. I was living the American Dream. Then, it happened. I lost everything literally over night....This is definitely one frightening experience to meet and go through
IT HAPPENED TWICE...BUT I LEARNED
The first time this happened to me, I wept for three months which looking back really helped me to clear my mind and deal with the stress of it all. Slowly, old beliefs fade out or away … (70 comments)

life lessons: KIDS SINGING SONGS...KNOWING THE WORDS IS ANOTHER MATTER...LIFE TOO - 06/01/11 04:34 PM
I saw a video the other day of little little kids singing in an auditorium. It brought back memories. Who didn't sing at school in groups when they were growing up? What I laughed about was on the parts between the chorus, the kids were mouthing the words or substituting humming or what they thought it was with noises...
THEY DON'T KNOW THE WORDS
The little children don't see it as wrong either. They are just buying time until they can get to the chorus part. Then, everyone sings loud and with exuberance until the next stanza. Then, teacher usually kicks … (4 comments)

life lessons: SPIRIT OF THE LAW... VS... LETTER OF THE LAW....and my dear wife too - 05/27/11 01:17 PM
My wife and I are outside this morning working around our 1/3 acre when a traffic officer writes up my neighbor for parking incorrectly on street sweeper day. First of all, we have lived here for years and never seen this happen. Second, the sign directing this is around the corner from the house and third, it is a rural area with little or no curbs
GUILTY..BUT GO LIGHTLY HERE
Look, we are all guilty of something or another. Where do you want to start on this subject? I understand that the law has powerful legs and can march successfully into … (6 comments)

life lessons: ROD SERLINGS...THE TWILIGHT ZONE.....DID WE JUST CROSS OVER.....? - 05/23/11 09:27 AM
I remember when this fist came on and I caught it. I thought I was just watching some 1/2 hour entertainment until I could find something else. When the episode ended with a twist, I was flabbergasted. I couldn't wait to tell someone ...Hey, I just saw a show that was so good and the ending is like something I have never seen...
I'M IN IT NOW
You see, I just crossed over into the Twilight Zone...That was the whole point. It is a little snap shot of a persons life where things are not what they appear to be. It … (7 comments)

life lessons: FREE TIME....no, it costs the user and the receiver...TIME - 05/16/11 09:53 AM
We live life by schedules. We have routines and we follow them. It starts innocently enough when we first get out of bed. From there, we don't stop until we end up in bed again. In between, we spend TIME. One of the most valuable and underrated as well as misspent dynamics known to man
WAIT-UP!
First off, TIME waits for no one....NO ONE! The clock is ticking while you are sleeping, thinking or making hay. It is not something that we spend wisely either. Maybe that is because TIME is spread out over TIME.
WHO YOU?
It is not a … (0 comments)

life lessons: FATHER KNOWS BEST NOT.....FARTHER KNOWS BEST - 05/11/11 10:27 AM
People make the world go round....crazy people make it go round faster while calm people slow it down. I prefer to sip wine and not gulp it. I chew food instead of swallowing it and I like to finish a thought without interruption as much as I like to allow the other person to do the same.
GET ALONG OR GET IT WRONG
You can piss people off or learn to navigate through the different personalities. You can speed and get caught or cruise and get there without consequences. You can master the white lie, or you can dispense with lying … (5 comments)

life lessons: MENOPAUSE...(men a pause)...LED TO MAN APPLAUSE - 04/07/11 09:45 AM
Well I made it...I am alive and well. You see one of my biggest accomplishments in life was getting through MENOPAUSE while my wife was going through it. In case you thing this doesn't apply to you, think again. All parties are affected and it is no respecter of persons either
HOW IT ALL STARTED...
I remember my wife reporting about the hot flashes. I am cold, she is hot. I get hot she is cold. She wants this, I want that. I say hello and she says; don't talk to me that way. OK, I am married so certain things … (18 comments)

life lessons: USED TO HATE IT...UNTIL I ATE IT.....you need to take risks - 04/06/11 06:47 PM
How often we go around not willing to risk or try something different and then expect different results in our lives. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting something new defines insanity. Why not instead try to gain, and to gain, you have to take a risk
WHERE DO I START?
There are many fields to risk in too. Mental, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical realms all beckon us. These things usually go where you want them to. The part you play or don't play determines and affects the outcome. Turn it up or down...but definitely turn it … (5 comments)

life lessons: HE WHO HAS THE LAST LAUGH......LAUGHS BEST....what if it is not funny..? - 11/03/10 09:47 AM
I often have come across people who are inconsiderate and have no charity for their fellow man. They have lost their way and have substituted other ways for their true destiny. If someone offends them, they pride themselves on getting even. This conducts only feeds and reproduces the original negative conduct...
It appears to be satisfying in the moment, but it is an illusion. I take no comfort in seeing any man, woman or child get mistreated. There are some that you would love to see get their comeuppance...but not punished to the point where their spirit is crushed or injured. … (8 comments)

life lessons: BEING DEBT FREE.......WHAT IT MEANS TO ME....... - 10/28/10 09:20 AM
Our capitalistic society doesn't not promote being conservative or cautious. Quite the contrary, it supports irresponsibility, consumerism and live now pay later dynamics. When the system fails, it take you with it and marks you for life. what kind of a system is that...?
KEEP YOUR CREDIT CARDS, FEES, LATE CHARGES AND NEGATIVE REPORTING TO YOURSELF.....
So, I am going to speak against the system. Yes, less jobs will be created because people will not spend more. Credit card companies will lose money. Monies made from foreclosures and defaults will shrink....Cars will not be sold in abundance and the sale of … (6 comments)

life lessons: THE MONKEYS PAW........be careful what you wish for........ - 10/04/10 09:58 AM
The MONKEY'S PAW is one of the best known lessons available to teach us something about life, ourselves, good vs evil and... to what purpose...? It consists of many stories and variations. The premise is to be careful what you ask for and from whom........I will share the concept with you as follows...
The MONKEY'S PAW is a horror story by W.W. Jacobs based on the premise that you can change your God given destiny...but at an enormous price for doing so.....for interfering with your fate and attempting to create a new one......in other words....you disrespect life and challenge it as … (6 comments)

life lessons: BE SEATED BEFORE THE MOVIE STARTS.....please - 09/23/10 09:10 AM
I am in a large movie theater. Got a good seat. The previews have been played, the opening logos came and went and ...the movie has started. I am sitting where I want. I am comfortable and I know that the opening scenes and the first few minutes a lot of times sets up the whole movie...
I am enthralled at this one scene I am watching....when all of a sudden, someone grabs my head and holds onto it. Now, I can see just fine....It is an elderly gentleman who cannot see and he has stumbled onto a chair and before … (12 comments)
