life lessons: ASSESS YOURSELF (the you) - 11/27/17 07:21 AM
Our minds are active and busy making us believe that we have to come and go at its beck and call and some people get either comfortable or hypnotized (or both) by it to the point where they just react to every thought leaving out a very important part of human nature called reason. In order to reason, you must first assess
ASSESS YOURSELF (start here)
The center of any activity involves at all times a centric figure called YOU. Each one of us has a "you" and from that location, we take notice of what is going on around us and before … (2 comments)

life lessons: MISSPENT YOUTH (spiritual themed) - 05/23/17 10:41 AM
Who hasn't heard of this dynamic? Everyone accept the young that's who! Who hasn't lived through some portion of life and then looked back and thought of how many other things could have been done or should have and why not? The trick is to live this reality in the moment you are in. This escapes the youth as well as the many
MISSPENT ADULTS
If one has learned the lessons of misspent youth either by self-realization or by learning from others, then they should be done with the subject of misspent anything. One must learn this and of course the earlier the better because of a very … (2 comments)

life lessons: BE DO HAVE (life recipe) - 08/30/16 12:47 AM
There is no formula for living life. However, there are lots of recipes for it and I am going to introduce one to you that helps the traveler (you) to have a quality about you based on intimacy and honesty starting with the self. You see we are only satisfied by what we find satisfying and we would be wise to respect the dynamics of reward and closure as we travel from moment to moment
STATE OF BEING
What we think is not the same as who you are or think you are. You are who you are called BE for this lesson. Whatever your … (4 comments)

life lessons: GREEN REAL ESTATE AGENT WITH FOOLISHNESS - 06/01/16 12:03 AM
Let me start out by saying that Real Estate agents do not come in different colors like blue, red, yellow and orange let alone green lol. The green I am alluding to here is not knowing what I was doing but worse than that. I didn't know that I didn't know with a touch of I don't care thrown in! This is not a good life combination
WAKE-UP CALL
In my early no-nothing days as a licensed Real Estate agent, I learned something that helped me become not only a better person but a more successful businessman too. It was a lesson that you learn by trial and error, … (43 comments)

life lessons: KNOWING IT ALL - 02/22/16 02:35 AM
No one knows it all. There are some who specialize in certain areas and have a jump on the subject matters but they will be the first to tell you that they don't know it all. Why? Because everything is always subject to change, evolving and adapting to what is necessary in the moment. Yesteryear may not work today thus an update is necessary. Think: more to know
BEEN THERE...DONE THAT
The next best place to be when a subject matter is warranted or sought out is someone who has had some experience, exposure, give & take and has traveled some learning curve. The more familiar … (8 comments)

life lessons: HOW HARD CAN IT BE? - 12/23/15 11:51 PM
Actually, stop and think about this. Anything can be learned and in many ways too. We have capacity to do so and we also have the ability to do it as we go correcting, modifying and restarting until we are pleased with the results. So where does it get a little dicey? It's when you are doing it for someone else
INVOLVING OTHERS
What many are always surprised of, and by, is the people interaction part when it comes to getting something done that involves others. If all we had to do was to do what we know and then get it done, … (9 comments)

life lessons: I FORGOT TO TURN OFF THE A/C - 07/01/15 12:01 AM
I have a vacant staged listing that is pending. Every-time I have a meeting for various reasons at the house in escrow, I have to get there ahead of time and turn on the air conditioner to cool-off the place. It works extremely well when activated. I open doors, window shades etc. and conduct my business at hand.
MULTI-TASKING
We are having 100 degree weather lately. Going from indoors to outdoors all day long is a chore but doable. As I was getting ready to leave, I got into three very important conversations. One on the phone with my seller and two in person. All handled … (14 comments)

life lessons: IT'S YOU! - 06/23/15 04:46 AM
One of the hardest concepts to accept is about to be presented to you. It is simple in delivery and rich in growth opportunity but also provides fuel for any smoldering fire within the self. It has been around since the fall of man and has progressed and made itself at home within people! It has the perfect camouflage too
THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN SIGHTED
IT'S YOU! What an incredible statement to make to someone especially if they need to hear it and specifically if they don't. It comes up in the bible two distinct times which makes one take note just for the story value … (6 comments)

life lessons: THE WORLD OF GIVE and TAKE - 04/21/15 11:59 PM
Until I discovered the value of the GIVE and TAKE system, I remained in a state of missing something which I couldn't quite put my finger on. You see we all have this built-in drive to go out there (?) and win, gather, claim, and get our wants and needs and not stop until we have them. Some don't stop at all
MY FELLOW RATS?  lol
It even ups the excitement of the journey when you see others doing the same thing. You then up your game and they, seeing you do that, up there's, and we now have what they call the rat race. The … (8 comments)

life lessons: WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO STOP YOU - 09/10/14 08:11 AM
I know the story of an aggressive unscrupulous man who insisted on his ways under all conditions making many miserable (including himself) as he went about acting out wildly his personal and professional life. Because he had such a powerful presence, was verbally abusive and an expert at intimidation, he got his way to the detriment of all. But then, something happened which allows one to consider from many points of view
BE STILL AND KNOW
Perhaps you know of or have dealt with someone like this. Well, this man got into a situation that led to him losing both his legs and laid up in a hospital … (5 comments)

life lessons: HANDYMAN IS GETTING TO BE A RISKY BUSINESS - 07/21/14 01:54 AM
Well they are doing sting operations where they have a handyman come out to your place to bid on work and if the work exceeds a certain dollar amount and you are not a contractor but a handyman, then you are in for some surprise. It is against the law and comes with heavy penalties too. You are charged with a crime and subject to enormous fines...whoa
THERE'S A REASON
Becoming a licensed contractor requires knowledge and testing so that when work is performed, it is done to a certain specification and standard of outcome. Imagine a handyman building homes for sale? Does that thought sit well … (2 comments)

life lessons: HAVING A SEAT WHEN THE MUSIC STOPS - 10/05/13 03:37 AM
We all remember the game of musical chairs. What joy and excitement. I remember when this was first introduced to me a child and I don't get things right away sometimes so I just went along with everyone standing up and marching around some chairs. Hey, marching as a kid is fun no matter what and the music helped. However, when it stopped and everyone sat down rather quickly, I just stood there
CRUSHED BEFORE WE GOT STARTED
I was out of the game. WHOA. My first thought is what game? I then had to leave the area and watch others and then I … (5 comments)

life lessons: HAVE YOU EVER BEEN KICKED UNDER THE TABLE - 09/23/13 09:36 AM
True tales from my youth include; I used to get kicked, under the table (on both legs) all the time around the kids, guests and business meetings. First time it happened, I thought it was an accident. Somebody just stretching out. No Big Deal. After several times, I realized communication was coming in, but for what I did not know. I just knew that the look or tone coming from the supposed kicker was serious as the kicking was

life lessons: LET IT BE DONE TO YOU AS YOU BELIEVE - 08/13/13 01:03 AM
This remains one of the most important MUST KNOW things here on this planet and in a persons journey. You see things just don't happen. Long before something comes up on your radar screen, it is out there roaming around whether it be success or failure and your beliefs one way or the other summon it. The power of ones stance in life, their being is made up of their beliefs...Spend some time examining yours
BELIEVE THIS
Thoughts come and go all day long. Where thoughts come from is a fascinating subject in itself but for another post. Whatever thought crosses … (6 comments)

life lessons: THE POWER OF LEMONADE COMES FROM LEMONS - 12/30/12 02:59 AM
The lessons in life are more often than not disguised as other things whether they be good or bad which of course remains subjective. Life is a very personal and exclusive experience for everyone and will continue to be. People and their experiences may be similar but never duplicated. So what do we do when life lemons are out and about?
THE LESSONS AND LEMONS COME TO ALL
It would be nice and considered a perfect world where people could be approached and given feedback and input and that being sufficient modify or change their behaviors for the good of all. However, that … (9 comments)

life lessons: THE MESSAGE VERSUS THE MESSENGER - 05/21/12 07:28 AM
How often do we all take the bait...the low hanging fruit and succumb to the temptation of the moment. The result? The messenger has been shot or taken hostage. The message goes unheeded. If we can reverse this or even better just observe it all, change would make its way to whatever is going on. The first change would be on how we handle the situation at hand
MESSAGE COMING IN
Thirty years ago, I once turned away an all cash buyer because they didn't look, sound, or act like one. What made it worse is they didn't speak good English and … (2 comments)

life lessons: TEXTING WHILE DRIVING YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING OR HAVE A DEATH WISH - 10/03/11 04:30 AM
Margaret my esteemed colleague suggested I do a piggy back blog (sort of) on her subject of driving while texting. New Law in Maryland..No Texting....No Emailing While Driving! We Need to Get the Word Out! http://actvra.in/kCr caused me to comment as follows..
TEXTER SIGHTED AHEAD
When someone driving in front of you slows down or does the side to side car sway, you know it someone who is learning to text and drive or it is someone that is no good at it. Perhaps in time this person may or may not perfect their new found belief..Meanwhile, we are now … (8 comments)

life lessons: MAY THIS DAY REWARD YOU ACCORDINGLY INVEST HEAVILY IN IT - 09/16/11 05:02 AM
What you put into something will determine what you get back. Life is as simple as that. Invest in yourself and others and watch and see what comes pouring forth. Life is to be lived, explored, sampled, and shared. Up the ANTE on this and all you did was improve your own experience. It doesn'tmatter what your circumstances are either
THE WONDER AT WORK
Let this one thought permeate your whole being. Your self, the essence within you is powered by no less than something so great that it has no equal. It only requires that you use it to know … (2 comments)

life lessons: PAPER...SCISSORS AND.... ROCK - 07/18/11 12:02 PM
It is interesting to note that each one is a power unto its self depending on when it comes up and what it comes up against. Think about this. Substitute people for the different parts played and it becomes a different game. A person can be paper, scissors or rock and apply that to circumstances and to then prevail. Maybe it is not a game?
PAPER... SCISSORS AND... ROCK =PEOPLE
A person who is harmless and unassuming yet functional can be paper. You don't even look twice at it or concern yourself. But it can win against the rock every-time. However, … (0 comments)

life lessons: GIANT ROOTS MAKE WAY THROUGH HARD ROCK...WHAT DO WE LEARN HERE..? - 07/04/11 11:10 AM
Observe the picture below...It speaks well and invokes within us a response. Mine had to do with the principal of time. There are three converging points of view here. The mountain, the root and the observer of it all, but who is observing who? Each moves in and out of its own time and makes for an interesting observation/conservation
TIME IS DIFFERENT FOR ALL
The mountain is probably millions of years old...let that sink in. Millions of years...Then, near by, literally plants itself and then roots its way to life. No excuses, nothing to stop it or come against it, it … (4 comments)
