professionalism: PEOPLE LIKE THIS - 10/12/15 06:20 AM
Plain & simple, they like hearing their own names. It has been studied and gets high results too. It works in so many arenas as well. When customer servicing, counseling, placing an order or just plain introductions, referring to someones name and saying it correctly promotes a strong, likable connection
POLITE
Gets even better when someone knows your name and you don't know there's. Immediately you think that they took the time or went to the trouble and this brings about a down home, easy-peasy, cooperative dynamic that invites all. Who doesn't respond to politeness?
LOOKING FOR HOME
I was showing a property to a buyers agent and two principals … (11 comments)

professionalism: PROPERTY MANAGEMENT MAKES SURE - 12/28/14 10:44 PM
All my property owning clients are convinced of one sure thing and that is that professional management is worth every penny in the short and long term any way you look at it. If you poll the tenants under my supervision, they would tell you that being treated a certain way is expected and appreciated as well.
THE PEOPLE FACTOR
It is not just about rent and how it exchanges hands. There is a pride of ownership and performance that comes with a proper relationship in the rental business that compliments all the players. Expectations are real on both sides and when … (6 comments)

professionalism: WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE REAL ESTATE BUSINESS - 04/16/14 04:17 AM
No two days or deals are alike. In fact, when I first heard that no two homes are alike I was amazed. Even if they sit next to each other, how the wind and the sun captures them makes it unique. Once more, I like challenges and this business offers some doozies
YOUR DEAL IS SPECIAL
What is especially interesting is that what works for one client may not work for another and why should it? Every person has their own set of beliefs and thoughts on how things should go. I respect that too. We have to include and specialize each transaction to the client at … (9 comments)

professionalism: MARKETING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE MATCHED UP - 01/22/14 06:44 AM
I met a woman in the course of my business day who I inquired to about a rental. Her first impression was a good one and when she responded, it got better. Within seconds we had a dialog going and a pleasant exchange of worth and value took place. But wait, there is more...
REAL IS PLEASANT TO BEHOLD
What was compelling was how real her attributes were her. She was like a living type of calling card. You see I noticed that she had a nice complexion, posture and demeanor as I engaged her. Upon further observation, I noticed she had … (13 comments)

professionalism: IF YOU ARE HIRED THEN IT IS SHOWTIME - 01/13/14 10:37 PM
If a principal doesn't answer their phone, want to show a place, have discussion, help with the process of buying or selling but just wants to do whatever they want, then they can. He who has the gold certainly rules. How they rule is another matter. However, if an agent is involved
YOU ARE ON
That is a game-changer make no mistake about it. Not only are we licensed which is a structure of performance, but we are under professional duty and responsibility to perform and in a certain reliable way too. It is expected and no less
MANDATORY NOT OPTIONAL
We must be available … (9 comments)

professionalism: USE INTERNET PRESENCE TO OPEN AND CLOSE WITH - 08/19/13 04:11 AM
There are certain people who when they enter a crowded room, command the exercise through the dynamic called presence. Heads turn and stay fixed. Hollywood looked for this in actors in the early days and used it to draw movie goers in closer and if it worked, another star was born. Today, the Internet is another mandatory place that requires presence too. It is an electronic calling card alive and vibrant..we hope

professionalism: BUYER SELLER AND TWO AGENTS ALL SIT DOWN - 04/10/13 11:08 PM
The title sounds like the beginning of a good joke but it is not. You have all this paperwork in a transaction to make sure that things go well and parties are protected. But consider that the contract is only as good as the people behind it. My sellers tend to be decent, honest people who are as represented. They are transparent and that fits my business model perfectly.
NOTHING TO HIDE
Because of that, I am in full favor of disclosure and frank discussion on anything that comes up. I am more concerned about the whole deal than just getting … (0 comments)

professionalism: DONT LOWER THE DRINK RAISE THE BAR - 03/17/13 01:08 AM
When you strive to exceed someones expectation, when you not only meet it but excel at it, and when it becomes apparent both to you and the receiver of your services..... then perhaps you have successfully RAISED THE BAR...In essence, you are doing a better job than someone else would
HIGH LEVEL OPERATIONS
You are setting a higher standard and branding your self for doing so. You have lifted the level of excellence to a new high. Now, the bar is set by you and your code of conduct.

professionalism: ACTIVERAIN IS PEOPLE APPROVED - 01/18/12 02:22 AM
I am reminded of when I first discovered ActiveRain and how every post had something to do with my Real Estate centered life, my week and my day and that was just the first hour I was on the site....I knew I was in a special place as I came across subject matters of interest to me being shared by my like kind...my fellow wizards in Real Estate

professionalism: SPLIT THE BABY OR KEEP IT WHOLE SELLING SHORT - 01/16/12 03:36 AM
I have a short sale in my neck of the woods which means it is going to be handled efficiently. Why? I know my areas, product and act accordingly. However, the bank called in a BPO and it came back higher than what is happening in my neck of the woods. To complicate it further, my negotiator likes playing Helen Keller
LITTLE COMMUNICATION IS THE STRATEGY?
I cannot get a word of  acknowledgment, encouragement, guidance or input just NO every-time I submit an offer. However, I had a major breakthrough when this latest BPO came in. The bank while insisting this … (2 comments)

professionalism: BUSINESS CARD HOLDERS PRACTICAL AND THEY SEND A MESSAGE TOO - 11/28/11 09:30 AM
I stumbled across this a few years ago by accident. A business card holder. I never had any use for one because I kept my cards in my wallet. Of course I put up with the smudging, wrinkling and bending that happens to cards in wallets but made it work. But why? instead I came across a card holder one day and bought it.
I AM THE KING...BUT I AM HERE TO SERVE YOU
I reached into my pocket and pulled this out to give someone my card. They asked me why I had a King on the cover..Thinking fast … (2 comments)
