I received a DMV notice to renew a registration. It was on a car that I lease, but belongs to someone else. We let the letter lapse unopened and entered into a penalty phase without knowing it. The longer you delay making a payment, the more penalty it costs you. My wife says...Go to the AAA and pay it right away. I felt relieved and went the next day
