remodeling: SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY RULE - 03/18/16 12:50 AM
Start-up in anything usually takes a hard investment. It is money to be spent according to planning with the intent of getting a return on not only the funds, but on time spent too. Its similar to the principal of "if you want to do business, you must be in business". This "outgo" ($$) at first looks like you are going in the wrong direction but that is how making money often begins
PRIME THE PUMP
To sometimes get something started, you have to prod it so that it starts its cycle to produce. Investors and entrepreneurs have learned this principal and practice scrutinizing where to … (58 comments)

remodeling: HOME REPAIR SCENARIOS TO CONSIDER - 10/04/14 04:48 AM
I know of a several people that I use to get work done that work on time and material basis. They will tell you up front what it will cost to get your materials and then they will tell you what they charge per hour to install those materials. That is some pretty clear cut, out in the open type business that anyone can relate to
VERSIONS OF IT
If they are able to obtain discounted products, they may add a small fee on top of that as well. Many will tell you to buy it and they will put it on. The … (6 comments)

remodeling: JUST INSTALLED ALL NEW FLOORING - 08/22/14 08:37 AM
Amazing too because the house looks bigger, fresher, newer and takes on a different aura. It now compliments fully our entire color schemes for the house. My wife who excels at decorating, staging and making a house into a home (and many other things), has put the cherry on top for this sundae subject.
LORD OF THE FLOORS
We used to have a home that was made up of and had carpets, hardwood floor, linoleum and or vinyl and it all looked and felt good. This time, we have all one flooring through out the house and if I had to choose which way to go, … (7 comments)

remodeling: REMEMBER THE TRASH COMPACTOR - 05/31/12 08:20 AM
Kitchens remain a priority when selling or buying a home and how they are designed and function plays into the dynamics of the transaction. Some kitchens need remodeling and some have had some work done on them. All time and money well spent. Adding to the kitchen to make it more attractive is a good idea...Enter the trash compactor
NOTHING LIKE IT
It was a handsome piece of machinery introduced in new housing. It looked good and had good marketing materials too. No muss or fuss, just throw you garbage in the unit, close it up and push the button and … (4 comments)

remodeling: TRASH TELLS THE STORY MANY TIMES - 02/13/12 03:50 AM
Your trash is speaking and says different things to different people. There are some pictures below to illustrate the point. Long before there were shredders, people just threw things away with out a second thought. Some of that stuff came back to haunt them depending if there were shenanigans afoot.
BOOKIES BURNED IT
Bookies used to have a trash can and lighter fluid handy. As soon a the door is busted down or the alarm sounds, papers go flying into the can, doused with fluid and poof...no evidence.
RECYCLED $$$
Trash can be treasure too. They pay for recycled items and … (2 comments)

I had a friend that owns Real Estate call me the other day because he was bothered about what to do with his home. It is running after all is said and done about a $300 negative per month. It is probably underwater by $30k. What should I do he says. I don't want to sell and I don't want to keep paying the negative..Let's talk sez I
