I apologize for the length of this blog but I have a lot of great info to share!
According to the 2008 NAR Profile of International Buyers, North America, Europe and Asia accounted for more than 85 percent of foreign home buying transactions between May 2007 and May 2008.
Six countries accounted for the majority of international purchasers.
The top six countries of origin for foreign home buyers were:
Canada The United Kingdom Mexico China India Germany Canada and the U.K. accounted for 36.1 percent of purchasers.

I was asked to attend the CEREAN (Central European Real Estate Associations Network) Conference and to help continue NAR's efforts to establish a relationship with Turkey's Istanbul Chamber of Real Estate Brokers. There's been plenty of bad news for Florida's economy this year. Rising commodity prices and weakness in real estate have taken a heavy toll on many in the state.
The notable bright spot for Florida's economy appears to be international trade. The dollar's weakness is our exporters' strength, providing them with an enormous advantage and creating a powerful incentive for foreign investment in Florida.
