After an incredibly slow fall and winter, the Rapid City real estate market is finally starting to take off. Sellers who withdrew their properties from the market last fall should be getting their homes ready to show again as the buyers are already out there and getting frustrated in the lack of inventory to choose from.Yes - there is still WAY too much new construction -- most of which isn't too appealing to the buyers I've met with since they can see as well as I can the overwhelming number of quickly built, inferior homes that continue to flood our market. … (0 comments)

Localism.com - How do you post listings? - 02/08/07 06:09 PM
I'm relatively new to the AR community but have figured out quite a few things on my own and through the help of everyone's useful & informative blogs. 
I am excited about the new localism.com beta site but am wondering how we go about adding listing content, news events, etc. to that site.  Looks like quite a few other states have this figured out but I'd love it if someone could get me up to speed!

I was born and raised in the midwest and I pride myself on the fact that when I start something, I finish it.  When I say I'm going to do something, I do it!  Maybe its the perfectionist in me but I always try to get things done right the first time.
So naturally it's difficult for me to understand why people choose to list their homes with agents who obviously don't take their jobs seriously.  I suppose there are a lot of trusting homeowners out there who get caught up in a slick, fast-talking sales pitch or maybe they are too … (3 comments)
