The following has been approved by Congress and is expected to be signed in Obama early this week. While the majority of the $800 billion dollars will not stimulate the economy, this should have a direct impact on the housing economy and get things headed in the right direction.

As we know with every transaction, not every loan/purchase fits the mold. So, every tax credit and question will not fit the mold.
What if two buyers aren't married?
Do I qualify for credit if I used a state bond in the transaction?

President Bush signed the Housing "rescue" bill on July 30th. Here's a brief recap:
Creates a voluntary program for lenders to write down the loan balance in exchange for an FHA guaranteed loan not to exceed 90 percent of the newly appraised value of the home. The lender would pay a (0 comments)

If you haven't seen, here is the proposed bill. It still needs to be signed off by Bush. I believe they feel this 15 year loan will persuade folks to purchase their first home. However, with the proposed loss of Ameridream, Nehemiah and Genesis, I suspect we will see less first (3 comments)
