It's been 3 years now since I earned my real estate license. This past weekend I congratulated some
fellow Mountaineers on graduating and realized that it has been one year since I too graduated and have been in this crazy real estate business full time!
There is no greater feeling than looking in the mirror and realizing that I have worked very hard, overcome many obstacles and continue building a solid base for my business. Real estate is not a normal situation which most people find themselves in once they graduate college, but it is where I proudly stand.
I have learned many things, but one of the most important is continually keeping my eye on the prize. In my mind, that prize is "building a clientele that recognizes the Boss name as synonomous with excellence in real estate, and continually passes that name on to others." To keep that focus, we as Realtors(R) must pace ourselves. Take time to spend with those you care about, kick back and enjoy a nice Spring day, or have a neighborhood cookout.
DO NOT Complain because the market might not be "the greatest." Find a way to make the best of any situation. Never stop being grateful for the wonderful ability we have to help make people's dreams come true. Even when the weather outside is lousy and the phone isn't ringing off the hook, keep your head up and continue working hard to make sure your clients become clients for life by always looking out for their best interests.
It's a Great Life, Enjoy It!
