homes for sale in barre: Ninja Realtor Ray in Barre Vermont - 05/17/10 10:10 PM
A title like that ought to get people's attention... I suppose there are places in the country where all the houses are the same, and where all the houses kind of make sense. What fun is that? I had the pleasure of touring a few homes for sale in Barre today. My favorite adventure was for the one on Beckley Street. Spacious house, spacious yard, just need to get rid of the carpet and some of the religious schwag (I don't mean to offend, but I felt like I should genuflect and drop an envelope in a basket). Ok, all the (0 comments)
homes for sale in barre: Breaking Loose? Big Sales in Barre, Vermont - 04/18/10 03:01 PM
All of a sudden, a couple of very nice homes for sale in Barre have gone under contract. I'm talking in the $400s. And this is on the heels of a March in which there were ZERO sales in Barre Town. Could this mean that buyers are finally taking advantage of the repressed prices, and buying value? I've said it before, and I mean it: there are some gorgeous homes for sale in Barre. It's about time someone pulled the trigger and put a couple under deposit. Hey buyers, let's keep it going. These prices aren't going to last forever. Sellers--good (0 comments)
homes for sale in barre: Sophisticated Buyers Size Up Floorplans - 04/11/10 05:58 AM
I'm seeing more and more buyers who are considering floorplan and room layout in their decision making. For example, a home for sale in Montpelier may have three bedrooms, but the master may be on the third floor, and the other two on the second floor. That could work out just fine...except that many families with young children may not want that. Or there may be a large yard, 3 bedrooms, and no dining room. Large yard and 3 bedrooms works great for a growing family. But without an eat-in kitchen, the lack of a dining room is a tough pill (3 comments)
Since it used to be a full-on apple orchard, there's the "Apple Chapel" which was used for sorting, boxing, crating, and shipping apples. The roof bell still works, and with a tug on the rope from the Apple Chapel, field hands or wayward children can be summoned home. Great distant mountain views, south facing, and yet only a few minutes from downtown. It's zoned Res-C, meaning that in addition (2 comments)
homes for sale in barre: Motivated Seller Says, "Sell This House!" - 11/17/09 05:32 AM
Deal of the Month in Williamstown, Vermont I don't usually put my listings up on Active Rain, but this is one that gets an exception. 2 bedroom 1 bath saltbox on over an acre of level yard. The basement finishing has been begun, and it could be completed to give more living space, playroom, den, whatever you want. Sunroom that leads onto the oversized deck with distant mountain views.
It's incredibly conveniently located, too. I mean, it's only about four minutes to I-89, but it's quiet. From I-89 you're a quick commute to Barre, Montpelier, Northfield, Waterbury, and Randolph. Do you (0 comments)
Vermont's a small state. Central Vermont (Montpelier, Barre, Northfield, U-32) really is a lively and transparent community. We all know someone in common, and I wanted to expand this transparency to a professional real estate oriented community website.
