According to a monthly report by MDA DataQuick, median prices of homes sold in Riverside and San Bernardino counties were up by $5,000 in August from July. Riverside County's median home price was $190,000. Also, fewer homes were sold in part because bargains were harder to find. In August, 4,145 homes were sold in Riverside County, which was 1.6 percent more than August last year. But this number was lower than the 4,699 homes that sold in July. BPOs for loan Modifications and Short Sales! - 09/15/09 10:23 PM
Okay, people...if you are facing a foreclosure and trying to do a Short Sale, then do what it takes to get it done.
I do BPOs (Broker price Opinion) for several different banks and companies.  For thos of you who don't know, BPO's are like mini appraisals and typically ordered from banks and asset managers on homes in the loan modification or short sale process.  BPO's are necessary in order for the Short Sale lender to move forward with the Short Sale process.

For several years, during the Real Estate boom, I had told numerous friends and aquaintences that they should wait to buy.  Some did and are now reaping the rewards of heading my advice.  Others didn't and are feeling the economic woes of their decision.
