Shopping should be an experience. Why do we put are stores in boxes with no windows and merchandize in a way there is rairly a "visual feast" - a time you have truly enjoyed yourself? Here in Newport Beach, A'maree's, a local tradition since 1976, have become settled in their new home. This has been their dream as a show case for their fine clothing, shoes handbags and accessories. The best in Haute Couture. Who are the people buying Homes? Investors continued to dominate the resale housing market here in Southern California. As recently as July 2012; they comprised 59% of buyers. DataQuick places investors into two categories; Cash buyers who comprised 32% of all buyers in July, and Absentee buyers who recorded a loan but have the mortgage payments sent to another address. These buyers are largely small investors but also include second home buyers. They comprised 27% of all buyers. My shetland sheep dog, Johnnie Walker, is only eight years but already has arthritis. He loves to go for a walk but his walks are slow and after about one and a half miles, he gives us that look and just stops. The average human walks at a rate of between 3 and 4 miles an hour. All the beaches of Newport Beach allow dogs on leashes but the hours are limited. Dogs have access to the beaches before 10:00 Am and after 4:30 PM. That leaves the middle of the day for people only. I spoke to my Shetland Sheep Dog, Johnnie Walker about this and he said the dogs lobbied hard for these hours – it is a commonly known fact that the middle of the day is reserved forMad Dogs and Englishmen, who go out into the mid-day sun.
