&lt;p&gt;Movies can entertain us, but we can even learn from them, too.  Below are famous lines that when we take them out of the context of the movie, then can change our &amp;lsquo;real&amp;rsquo; lives.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&amp;ldquo;A martini. Shaken, not stirred.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/strong&gt; -Goldfinger&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="padding-left: 30px;"&gt;Know what you want, know how to ask for it and don&amp;rsquo;t compromise your taste and standards for others.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&amp;ldquo;May the force be with you.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/strong&gt; -Star Wars&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="padding-left: 30px;"&gt;When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.  You must first, believe.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&amp;ldquo;Bond, James Bond.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/strong&gt; -Dr. No&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="padding-left: 30px;"&gt;Identify &amp;lsquo;who&amp;rsquo; you are.  What makes you unique in this world?  What talent, gifts and contribution do you bring to the table?  Own it, claim it and let the world know who you are with pride and conviction.&lt;/p&gt;

There are many lessons we can all learn from the story.&amp;nbsp;  If you haven't seen the movie, rent it today!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It has been interesting to watch the NBC organization work through reorganizing the 'late night' lineup.  Key decisions were made, a risk was taken, the results fell short of the desired goal and now they are finding themselves in a unique situation, to say the least.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Taking risks - it IS necessary in business.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Adjusting to change - a requirement in life and business.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Course correction - a necessary action due to lack of planning, unforeseen circumstances or poor results.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Negotiating - working with multiple parties and coming up with an agreement that accommodates all concerned to best suit all involved as much as possible.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Evaluation - learn from previous experiences and/or mistakes to make better decisions in the future.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There may be many laughs at the expense of this late night show situation, however we as 'viewers' can all learn something.  The list above applies daily in any industry or business.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="text-align: center;"&gt;"The best defense is a good offense," says Russell Weiner, marketing chief at Domino's&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Are you willing to take QUANTUM leaps in your business?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Are you willing to CHANGE? &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt; Are you willing to be HONEST with yourself &amp;amp; your business? &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt; Are you willing to do what it takes to WIN? &lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There will be times in every business where tough decisions will need to be made.  Hopefully, this extreme example of changing an entire foundation of a huge corporation is not what you'll need to do today, however I hope I got you thinking.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>What's GOOGLE got to do with YOUR business? EVERYTHING! </title>

&lt;p&gt;"Gaining and Retaining" clients - how are you gaining new clients and more importantly, retaining ALL your clients?  Too often, as we chase the next client, we leave behind, forget and neglect our current clients.  Consider the following statistics...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt; Repeat customers spend 33% more than new customers.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Referrals among repeat customers are 107% greater than non-customers. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It costs six times more to sell something to a prospect than to sell that same thing to a customer. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;GOOGLE offers consumers and businesses to CLICK their way around and learn all they need about any product, company, service, pricing, location, etc..  Not only are you competing with your local business competition, but also the 'GOOGLE Factor'.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;How can you GAIN or RETAIN your clients in this Google world?   Stay' 'Top of Mind'.  Your customers should hear from you AT LEAST every 90 days.  I'm not talking about sending an email here.  Send a card, make a phone call or even stop by in person.  If they aren't hearing from you, someone else - your competition - is talking to them. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Communicate with your customers (or prospects) for OTHER reasons than to benefit you or your business.  Send a birthday card (without your logo).  A very important and/or special client?  How about 2 tickets to a ball game or an event THEY would be interested in attending. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Let your customers know they are valued and appreciated.  And, I'm not talking about a discount on their "next" visit.  TRUE appreciation for their business and not asking for anything in return. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Give to THEM. Ask them how you can help them with their business?  Who would be a good referral for them? &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Be a connector.  Know about them and their business and consistently introduce them to others that you know so they can always be growing their network through you. &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Bottom line?  BUILD RELATIONSHIPS and you build trust, loyalty and a solid business that can't be 'clicked' away!&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Always stick to the basics and remember your ABC's</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.webbizgirl.com/images/ABC.jpg" height="121" alt="" width="124"&gt;As we begin the first full work week of 2010, I am reminded of the first day of school.  Every class, every semester and every year it was the same start - the basics.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What are the basics in business?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; Know where you are going. What goals do you have in place for 2010?  Immediate, short-term and long-term goals should be identified, written down and read on a regular basis.  Stretch yourself when setting goals.  If you are a fan of personal development, you are probably a BIG thinker.  If not, I suggest you go out-of-bounds on typical goal setting and take off any filters, judgments or limiting thoughts and allow yourself to think and believe at a level beyond the ordinary.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="padding-left: 30px;"&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;ldquo;Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars.&amp;rdquo; -Les Brown &lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2.&amp;nbsp; &lt;strong&gt;Know how you are going to get there.&lt;/strong&gt; What activities are necessary to achieve your goals?  Who do you need to partner and/or surround yourself with to achieve your goals.  What tools do you need in your business to function on a daily, weekly or monthly basis?  Be a student of your business.  Find a mentor who has achieved your level of success and follow their lead, or better yet! - ask them to personally mentor you.  If you were to drive from New York to Los Angeles, you would need to plan the trip, have a map (or GPS), a vehicle, gas, oil and a spare tire, hotels along the way to rest &amp;amp; sleep, restaurants for meals and money for toll booths, etc&amp;hellip;  Are you getting the idea?  You wouldn&amp;rsquo;t drive across the country without a plan or tools, so why would you work every day, week and month without a plan or tools?&lt;/p&gt;

Most industries or companies don&amp;rsquo;t even have the WHY in their vocabulary.  (Fortunately, in my/our industry of network marketing, this is a common discussion and is why millionaires are created from ordinary people.)  The WHY will be the driving force that propels your passion, pace and level of success.  I talk of this often and there is a good reason.  When you know WHY, you bring to the table a whole new level of WHO you are and HOW you do what you do.  A deep WHY is bigger than you.  It&amp;rsquo;s not about the commission or paycheck.  It&amp;rsquo;s what that commission or paycheck can do for you, your family, your community and our world.  There is value in the greater cause of everything that we do.  Look beyond the task and find the deeper meaning in what you are doing and accomplishing each day, week, month or year.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>I am giving you permission to SLEEP in 2010&#8230;</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src="http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/6/5/3/0/4/ar126205871040356.jpg" height="203" alt="" width="182"&gt;Okay, now that I have your attention, let me be honest.  I am NOT giving you permission to sleep through your life, however I am expecting you to DREAM and DREAM BIG!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I hope New Year&amp;rsquo;s Resolutions aren&amp;rsquo;t the only time you think, evaluate and look at your life and business.  And, if it is, I am glad you are reading this today.  January is a good time to reflect, plan and implement, but each quarter review, evaluate and alter actions.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Let&amp;rsquo;s begin!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="padding-left: 30px;"&gt;1.        DREAM BIG!  Notice, I am using the word DREAM before goals.  What really excites you?  A certain $ amount?  A new boat?  A family vacation?  Giving to charity?  Losing weight?  Gaining your health back?  What REALLY warms your heart with passion, compassion, energy and consumes your mind on a regular basis?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="padding-left: 30px;"&gt;2.        SEE and FEEL your dreams DAILY!  Write them down, take pictures, make a dream board, send yourself pictures and &amp;ldquo;I AM&amp;rdquo; statements in a card to yourself.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="padding-left: 30px;"&gt;3.        ACT every day 1) as if you have already have what you are dreaming of and 2) do the necessary ACTIONS to make your dreams a reality.  You know what to do and if your WHY - the compelling reason behind the dream is BIG enough - the HOW comes to you.  You just have to be AWAKE and paying attention and the universe will bring it to you.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Am I a GRINCH this Christmas?</title>

&lt;p&gt;I think I&amp;rsquo;m a NICE Grinch though - I&amp;rsquo;m smiling!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Holidays are a tricky time to conduct business, aren&amp;rsquo;t they? Do they have to be?  Absolutely not!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I know there are &amp;lsquo;extra&amp;rsquo; things to do and many people to see, however, here&amp;rsquo;s the bottom line&amp;hellip;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1)  Busy people get things done.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2)  Business doesn&amp;rsquo;t stop.  Think about EVERY business      you know and how many days their doors are      actually closed over the next two weeks?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3)  People who work through the Holiday Season don&amp;rsquo;t      make excuses.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;4)  You can be far more profitable and productive      because the law of the averages is in your favor      because less people are willing to work through the      Holidays.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;5)  More &amp;rsquo;seeds can be planted&amp;rsquo; if you stick to your goals      and stick to your plan.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;6)  Go through the numbers.  Others will give you their      excuses.  That just doubles your appointments for      the first two weeks of January.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>No MONEY in your bank account ?!</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;You probably thought we were talking MONEY, or CASH in your traditional bank, right?  Well, what I have to share with you today has EVERYTHING to do with how much money end up in your traditional bank account.  EMOTIONAL bank accounts are the opinions of what others have about you.  Both, in your personal lives and business.  And, for today&amp;rsquo;s purposes, I am going to talk about the emotional bank accounts in your business life.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Each day, week, month, quarter and year, we have the opportunity to reach out to our current customers.  And, when you do, I am asking that not ALL of these &amp;lsquo;touches&amp;rsquo; be about you, your agenda or what your company has to offer.  A majority of the time that you reach out and communicate with your clients, these &amp;lsquo;touches&amp;rsquo; need to be from a give-to-give mindset.   The intention is to sincerely express your gratitude, their value and letting them know that you care about THEM.  For example, &amp;ldquo;Happy Birthday&amp;rdquo;, &amp;ldquo;Welcome to our company&amp;rdquo;, &amp;ldquo;We appreciate you&amp;rdquo;, &amp;ldquo;Happy Holidays to you and your family&amp;rdquo;, &amp;ldquo;Congratulations on your new baby&amp;rdquo;, etc&amp;hellip;  As you can see, each of these messages is about you caring about them, how much they are valued and nothing to do about you.  When you do this - or make DEPOSITS in their emotional bank account with you - they are more connected to you and more importantly, they FEEL valued.  And, when you have earned those FEELINGS, when the competitor comes knocking, there is no answer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;People will forget what you say, they will even forget what you do, but they will never forget how you make them FEEL&amp;rdquo; -Maya Angelou&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;No activity does not yield no response in these emotional bank accounts.  When you neglect to make deposits on a regular basis, they will make withdrawals on your account without your permission.  More withdrawals and less deposits equals insufficient funds.  Lack of funds = lost customer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When you continually make deposits in their emotional bank accounts with you, not only will you build a solid business based on trust and value, but you will EARN the referral.  They will be happy to brag about you to their friends, families and colleagues.  When you build your business the right way - through relationships, which is making deposits, your traditional bank account &amp;mdash; the one with money &amp;mdash; will be abundantly overflowing with increased referrals, business and income!  This doesn&amp;rsquo;t take much time&amp;hellip;and PLEASE don&amp;rsquo;t make these deposits with email.  Email is for communication or information.  REAL relationships with REAL value deserve REAL attention.  Make a phone call, send a REAL card or even go visit with them in person.   They actually crave the personal attention and they also deserve the personal attention.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Can I ask you WHY?</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Do you have written goals?&amp;nbsp; It amazes me (but doesn&amp;rsquo;t shock me) that most people do not have written goals.&amp;nbsp; Honestly, how often have we been taught the concept of written goals?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The people who write their goals down are typically those in sales, network marketers and/or run their own business.&amp;nbsp; So, my purpose for writing this for you today is to not only encourage you to write down your goals, but read them daily.&amp;nbsp; Yes, daily!&amp;nbsp; What you focus on expands.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How do you write goals?&amp;nbsp; First, decide WHAT you want to accomplish.&amp;nbsp; This can be an amount of net income, volume of sales in your business, eliminate the balance on your credit card, an amount of money you would like to contribute to your favorite charity or maybe the goal of paying cash for the family to go on a dream vacation.&amp;nbsp; Each person is unique in that they are striving to reach a goal that is important to them.&amp;nbsp; Big or small, all goals have value and a purpose.&amp;nbsp; Which brings us to our next step.&amp;nbsp; Decide WHY you desire this goal.&amp;nbsp; Why do you want X dollars of net income?&amp;nbsp; Why do you want X volume of sales in your business?&amp;nbsp; Why do you want to eliminate the balance on your credit card?&amp;nbsp; Dig deep!&amp;nbsp; Does having X dollars of net income provide you with a second dream home on the beach?&amp;nbsp; Does eliminating the balance on your credit card give you peace of mind?&amp;nbsp; Does contributing to your favorite charity give you a more purposeful life?&amp;nbsp; Determining the WHY behind the WHAT is the key to achieving your goals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;WHY, WHY, WHY?&amp;nbsp; If you&amp;rsquo;ve ever been around a 2-year old, they ask that question a million times!&amp;nbsp; The untarnished curious mind of a child is so pure and offers us all a lesson.&amp;nbsp; Ask WHY.&amp;nbsp; It will tap into the meaning behind the goal and lead you to your success.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Discipline is like a &#8220;4-letter&#8221; word to most&#8230;</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Discipline.&amp;nbsp; To most people, it is a 4-letter word - WORK and a chore and something not to look forward to.&amp;nbsp; But, NOT if you&amp;rsquo;re an entrepreneur that is!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Here&amp;rsquo;s the deal.&amp;nbsp; When you are an entrepreneur, you WANT to work, you structure your time well and you actually look forward to what it is that you do and you wish you had more hours in the day to do what you do.&amp;nbsp; And, often entrepreneurs are even out of balance in their life - temporarily - to gain the balance in their lives and income.&amp;nbsp; Ask any business owner or network marketer WHY they do what they do and they will all tell you the same thing.&amp;nbsp; There is a inner passion to succeed and an inner desire to accomplish their goals.&amp;nbsp; Entrepreneurs dream BIG and they have goals worth working toward.&amp;nbsp; And, the goals vary.&amp;nbsp; Some are about the amounts of income they want to generate, others are about places they want to go and experiences they want to have and many are about how to give back.&amp;nbsp; Entrepreneurs are sometimes seen as greedy because they &amp;lsquo;appear&amp;rsquo; to be going after money.&amp;nbsp; That, to the public eye and and the view of many because they don&amp;rsquo;t know what they don&amp;rsquo;t know.&amp;nbsp; They don&amp;rsquo;t know that when you run a successful business, you are able to contribute to individuals - provide jobs, benefits, food for families - business taxes contribute to the local, state and national economy - profits can be given back to their local communities or a charity that is important to them.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There is so much potential and power in being an entrepreneur.&amp;nbsp; Extending way beyond &amp;lsquo;transactions&amp;rsquo;.&amp;nbsp; It is the most unique, rewarding and the ONLY way to work in this girl&amp;rsquo;s opinion.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Never worked for yourself?&amp;nbsp; Thoughts of it make you a little worried that you couldn&amp;rsquo;t or wouldn&amp;rsquo;t make it?&amp;nbsp; Fear is another 4-letter word.&amp;nbsp; And, when you face it head on, you win every time!&amp;nbsp; Does that guarantee your business will be successful?&amp;nbsp; No, but every business is not a success (financially speaking), but you are for doing the business.&amp;nbsp; And, you learn and grow from each experience and you will have the success.&amp;nbsp; There are so many that have failed to then succeed tremendously.&amp;nbsp; Ray Crock didn&amp;rsquo;t have much success to speak of (not for the lack of trying) and when he was at the age of 52, began a franchise called McDonald&amp;rsquo;s.&amp;nbsp; What about Donald Trump?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; He has lost billions&amp;hellip;.that&amp;rsquo;s &amp;ldquo;B&amp;rdquo;&amp;hellip;illons and has earned it all back and then some.&amp;nbsp; There are countless stories of entrepreneurs who have experienced both, success and failures.&amp;nbsp; It didn&amp;rsquo;t stop them and it doesn&amp;rsquo;t have to stop you.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you are not waking up daily excited about what you do AND you are in control of your day and life, then I am here today to encourage you to go for it!&amp;nbsp; Find your passion, go to WORK for YOU!&amp;nbsp; When you have that desire and passion, the discipline required happens naturally.&amp;nbsp; It&amp;rsquo;s not a chore, it becomes a love for what you do and you&amp;rsquo;ll want to &amp;lsquo;give yourself away&amp;rsquo; every day!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;It becomes an overwhelming task because if you&amp;rsquo;re like most, you get too detailed.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Here you go!&amp;nbsp; The fastest way to identify your goals&amp;hellip;and more important&amp;hellip;the fastest way to ACHIEVE your goals too!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;First, identify what you &amp;ldquo;Don&amp;rsquo;t Want&amp;rdquo;.&amp;nbsp; If you are a positive thinker and have a positive attitude, this will be a mind-shift for you.&amp;nbsp; Others will find this easy.&amp;nbsp; For example, &amp;ldquo;I don&amp;rsquo;t want debt.&amp;rdquo;&amp;nbsp; &amp;ldquo;I don&amp;rsquo;t want to be this overweight.&amp;rdquo;&amp;nbsp; &amp;ldquo;I don&amp;rsquo;t want to smoke anymore.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Next, take your &amp;ldquo;Don&amp;rsquo;t Wants&amp;rdquo; and turn them into &amp;ldquo;Wants&amp;rdquo;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: center;"&gt;&amp;ldquo;I don&amp;rsquo;t want debt&amp;rdquo;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; BECOMES&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;ldquo;I am financially free&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: center;"&gt;&amp;ldquo;I don&amp;rsquo;t want to be this overweight&amp;rdquo;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; BECOMES&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;ldquo;I am healthy, fit, lean and strong&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: center;"&gt;&amp;ldquo;I don&amp;rsquo;t want to smoke anymore&amp;rdquo; &amp;nbsp; BECOMES&amp;nbsp; &amp;ldquo;I am enjoying breathing fresh air all day&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;em&gt;Hint: &lt;/em&gt;Your WANTS become I AM statements.&amp;nbsp; You are writing your goals down in the present tense.&amp;nbsp; And, the language is KEY!&amp;nbsp; You get what you ask for.&amp;nbsp; The universe provides what you are verbalizing, feeling and subconsciously thinking about.&amp;nbsp; If you continue to say, &amp;ldquo;I don&amp;rsquo;t want credit card debt&amp;rdquo;, the universe will hear &amp;ldquo;credit card debt&amp;rdquo;.&amp;nbsp; It is important to state your WANTS in a way that provides you with the result and not the current scenario in a &amp;ldquo;don&amp;rsquo;t want&amp;rdquo; format.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;I learned of this GREAT exercise in a book called, &lt;em&gt;Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting&lt;/em&gt; by Lynn Grabhorn.&amp;nbsp; It was life changing for me.&amp;nbsp; It&amp;rsquo;s worth the read and obviously, goes into more detail.&amp;nbsp; I even learned NOT to put dates on goals.&amp;nbsp; Truly a mind-shift for all us goal setters!&amp;nbsp; Enjoy the book (should you choose to read) and in the meantime, try the exercise of &amp;ldquo;Don&amp;rsquo;t Wants &amp;amp; Do Wants&amp;rdquo;.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; They work in your business and personal life.&amp;nbsp; Read your &amp;ldquo;Do Wants&amp;rdquo; daily and watch what happens!&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>50 Things To Do Before I Turn 50!</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Most lists are dreaded and things you &lt;em&gt;have&lt;/em&gt; to do.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; This is a list of things you &lt;strong&gt;WANT&lt;/strong&gt; to do!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am so excited to have written my list and even more excited to &lt;em&gt;live it!&lt;/em&gt; I hope you are inspired to do the same.&amp;nbsp; Let go!&amp;nbsp; Begin to feel what it is to live with passion and energy, while looking forward to and enjoying the experiences and memories that bring you to a more fun &amp;amp; fulfilling life!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I thought I&amp;rsquo;d share a few items on my list.&amp;nbsp; And, those who want to know my age?&amp;nbsp; There are two things women typically don&amp;rsquo;t like to share - age and weight.&amp;nbsp; Gladly tell you, I&amp;rsquo;m 44!&amp;nbsp; Weight?&amp;nbsp; Shame on you for asking!&amp;nbsp; A woman never discloses that number!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;Here are a few things I will do before I turn 50&amp;hellip;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul style="text-align: left;"&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Enjoy a two week vacation in Italy with David and Jonathan.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Swim with the dolphins.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Watch the Macy&amp;rsquo;s Thanksgiving Day parade LIVE in New York with my family - front row at the main doors of Macy&amp;rsquo;s.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Publish, &amp;ldquo;The Stories of My Mind&amp;rdquo; book (co-authored by Kody Bateman).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Purchase my red convertible Mercedes CLK.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Have lunch with Maria Shriver.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Exceeded 50,000 distributors world-wide in my SendOutCards business.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Take a Spanish class.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Pay cash of 30% down payment on our second home in a warmer climate.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;and that&amp;rsquo;s just a few of my 50!&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How do you start?&amp;nbsp; Simple&amp;hellip;pull up a blank document in Word, click on the &amp;lsquo;numbering&amp;rsquo; icon and type in the first place you want to vacation if money was no object.&amp;nbsp; Then, think of your best friend and an activity you both enjoy and type the place, activity or event you will participate or attend.&amp;nbsp; How about your dream car?&amp;nbsp; If you did not have to go to the office tomorrow, what would you do with your day?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Think BIG and give yourself permission to dream!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For some, you may get stuck writing this list or even have fear in just thinking about the list.&amp;nbsp; Why?&amp;nbsp; Because it&amp;rsquo;s been a long time since you&amp;rsquo;ve thought about your life.&amp;nbsp; You may be in the routine and basically living unconsciously.&amp;nbsp; &lt;em&gt;Now is the time!&lt;/em&gt; You ARE worth living your life as you desire and deserve.&amp;nbsp; Anything is possible.&amp;nbsp; No filters.&amp;nbsp; Just think out loud, no judgments allowed and nothing is off the table.&amp;nbsp; You can list the smallest things to the most outrageous.&amp;nbsp; The list is yours and what will make your life important, special and exciting to you. &amp;nbsp; Enjoy the process of creating this list AND enjoy your life as you &amp;lsquo;check off your list!&amp;rsquo;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;What&amp;rsquo;s in a New Year&amp;rsquo;s Resolution anyway?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Hidden statements (failures) of what you didn&amp;rsquo;t accomplish last year?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Wishes of what you want your life to look like in the next year?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;What you will do differently this time around?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Changes (sacrifices) that you must make to bring different results?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;How inspiring is that?!&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I used to be a Personal Trainer &amp;amp; Fitness Instructor.&amp;nbsp; Time and time again, I would see people struggle to make the necessary changes in their actions and habits in hopes to produce a desired outcome.&amp;nbsp; Why is it so difficult to stick with the New Year&amp;rsquo;s Resolutions?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It all begins with your INTENTION.&amp;nbsp; When you lead with intention - TRUE INTENTION, not just a &amp;lsquo;goal&amp;rsquo;, your focus, thoughts and actions will no longer a struggle to stay on task.&amp;nbsp; Most people&amp;rsquo;s resolutions are goals rather than a intention that leads to successfully achieving your goal.&amp;nbsp; BIG difference!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="text-align: left;"&gt;Here&amp;rsquo;s an example.&amp;nbsp; Most people say they want to make more money, right?&amp;nbsp; The GOAL is to make more money, however who you are, the decisions you make, how you act and what the money will provide is the result of your INTENTION.&amp;nbsp; So, rather than saying, &amp;ldquo;I want to earn $250,000 in 2009, a better statement (intention) is, &amp;ldquo;With my annual income of $250,000 in 2009, I am living each day with peace of mind that I am in control of my financial future, I am able to provide my family with an abundant life, while giving to those who are less fortunate.&amp;nbsp; My bank accounts have excess of thousands and my savings account has 12 months of living expenses.&amp;nbsp; My retirement accounts are growing rapidly.&amp;nbsp; I am enjoying four vacations that are paid in full with cash.&amp;rdquo;&amp;nbsp; And, so on&amp;hellip;.&amp;nbsp; Get the idea?&amp;nbsp; The INTENTION goes beyond a number.&amp;nbsp; It&amp;rsquo;s the mindset, choices that are made and decisions that you can make based on the freedom the money provides.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So, what&amp;rsquo;s in YOUR New Year&amp;rsquo;s Resolution?&amp;nbsp; Goals or Intentions?&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Have you called prospects back time and time again and they don&amp;rsquo;t call you back?&amp;nbsp; Even if they expressed an interest in your product or service?&amp;nbsp; Why is that?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The first reason (legitimate) is that they are too busy.&amp;nbsp; But, so are you, right?&amp;nbsp; Do you want to know how to get that busy prospect to call you back?&amp;nbsp; Here&amp;rsquo;s a few tips that will tip the odds (and results) in your favor.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;1)&amp;nbsp; EVERY time you call someone back, add value for THEM.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Can you invite them to a lunch where they can meet potential clients?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Can you offer to include them in on an upcoming conference call?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Is there an opportunity to introduce them to someone within your firm or organizaton that can give them a bigger (or better) perspective on how your products or service will be of benefit to them?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Send ONE version of your e-newsletter (do not subscribe them - this is not the appropriate time.)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2)&amp;nbsp; Consider the &amp;lsquo;blogging-off-line-technique&amp;rsquo;.&amp;nbsp; With the barrage of daily emails (legit), to the many subscribed e-newsletter (some invited, others just add you) the the &amp;lsquo;fwd&amp;rsquo;s&amp;rsquo; from your friends who like to send jokes to the &amp;lsquo;not-so-busy-co-workers&amp;rsquo; who forward way too many emails&amp;hellip;.you NEED to stand out from the crowd and compliment your on-line activities with off-line methods.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Send handwritten cards with your photos.&amp;nbsp; Why would I include my photo?&amp;nbsp; That&amp;rsquo;s not the typical business mail they receive.&amp;nbsp; My point exactly!&amp;nbsp; Plus, the more they see your picture, the more they &amp;lsquo;think&amp;rsquo; they know you, the more they actually begin to like you, and the more they begin to trust you.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Be sure that not all these cards is a sales pitch and/or has your logo all over it.&amp;nbsp; Just as the &amp;lsquo;blogging&amp;rsquo; world let&amp;rsquo;s people know what you are doing (which they also include photos (hmmmm&amp;hellip;hint!), you should include photos.&amp;nbsp; Did you go to a great seminar?&amp;nbsp; I attended a Tom Hopkins seminar that was fabulous!&amp;nbsp; Learned a lot about the power of &amp;lsquo;the hand-written thank you note&amp;rsquo; - from the master himself.&amp;nbsp; I have sent cards (with a picture of me and Tom Hopkins) to those who I thought would benefit from learning about the &amp;lsquo;power of the hand-written thank you note&amp;rsquo;.&amp;nbsp; And, on a side note&amp;hellip;Tom Hopkins and I had dinner after the seminar.&amp;nbsp; Check out my facebook for the photo.&amp;nbsp; http://profile.to/lindathomas&lt;/li&gt;

      <title>It all begins with YOU!</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;My specialty is&lt;em&gt; &amp;lsquo;Building Relationships&amp;rsquo;&lt;/em&gt;.  And, though it takes two to have a relationship, it all begins with you.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Who YOU bring to the table determines the success or failure in the relationship. Feeling it&amp;rsquo;s not fair to place that burden on you? You want others to be responsible and step up to the plate too? Well, it&amp;rsquo;s not a fair playing field to bring an incomplete person - you - to the game my friend.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Tough love?  Maybe, but it&amp;rsquo;s not as complicated or as hard as you might be fearing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Building relationships will come easily to you IF you work on yourself first AND do so on a daily basis. And, before you say that you don&amp;rsquo;t have the time, let me stop you there. I&amp;rsquo;m not asking you to take an hour a day - yet. Those more evolved know the power in the hour, but you may not be ready quite yet for that. So, let&amp;rsquo;s start at the beginning with a realistic approach to this new concept of you taking time each day and working on YOU.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For one week, I need just 10 Minutes of your time. Below are 7 exercises. Each day for one week, take 10 minutes before you start your day. Do not check email, watch the news, read the paper or Google anything before these 10 minutes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Day 1:&lt;/em&gt; Write down 5 amazing things you would like to do in your life. Go BIG here! What would be amazing to do? Is it skydiving, writing your own book, taking the family on a month&amp;rsquo;s vacation, going to Vegas with $25 cash to burn? ANYTHING!! Don&amp;rsquo;t let your mind stop you. There is NO limit and no boundaries. It doesn&amp;rsquo;t even need to be crazy. Just real and important to what YOU want to do.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Day 2:&lt;/em&gt; Write down the 3 most important people in your life. For each one of these three people, write down the reason they mean so much to you. &lt;em&gt;&amp;ldquo;When you give, you forget.  When you receive, you remember.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/em&gt; Send each of these important people a card (or letter) just letting them know how important they are in your life and how much you appreciate them. Having a &amp;lsquo;Gratitude Attitude&amp;rsquo; will change your life!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Day 3:&lt;/em&gt; Between the hours of 8am-5pm today, do not take any incoming calls. Let all calls go to voice mail. You will be amazed how much you can get done when YOU choose to be interrupted. At 11am and 3pm, check your voice mail and return any call you need to. What you will learn is that not every call is urgent at the time THEY are calling.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Day 4:&lt;/em&gt; Check your email just 3 times a day and you have a limit of 10 minutes on email during those times. Shut your email program down (or minimize the window IF you have self-control). Only check your email at 11am, 3pm and again at 7pm. You will be amazed to learn how much email you do NOT need to read or even respond.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Day 5:&lt;/em&gt; Take a 10 minute walk outside. Fresh air (even in a city) brings a sense of alertness to your mind. The pace or distance is not important here. It&amp;rsquo;s you alone with your thoughts. No iPods allowed!&lt;br&gt; &lt;em&gt;Day 6:&lt;/em&gt; Take a blank notepad and go to your local coffee shop. Treat yourself to your favorite &amp;lsquo;cup of Java&amp;rsquo;. This day, you will start with simply writing down the five most important tasks you need to accomplish that day. The lesson here is to take that long running to-do list, select what&amp;rsquo;s important for that day and let the rest go. Your focus will have intention, direction and the ability to accomplish more with less.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Day 7:&lt;/em&gt; Give away your time. Find a time, place or function where you can simply give away your time to be of assistance to others. Can you be the &amp;lsquo;greeter&amp;rsquo; at your church this week? Can you stop by a local nursing home and unexpectedly visit someone you don&amp;rsquo;t know and just reach out an touch someones day today? Or, how about buying a small bouquet of flowers and visit your local hospital. Ask the front desk person to choose someone to receive the flowers? A random act of kindness. When you share the light of your candle, it doesn&amp;rsquo;t take anything away from your flame.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There you go! A week of growth in just 10 minutes a day! You life can change and the relationships you build will be stronger when you begin and make the change in YOU.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>A card a day keeps the competitor away!</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Are you &lt;strong&gt;'TOM&lt;/strong&gt;' to your clients and prospects?&amp;nbsp; If you are asking what 'TOM' is...then, keep reading!!!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;TOM is 'Top of Mind'.&amp;nbsp; Your current clients, colleagues, family, friends, service organizations, church family, associations, fellow board members, referral sources and your prospects should all have YOU at the 'Top of THEIR Mind' on a regular basis.&amp;nbsp; Why?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Business boils down to 2 basic fundamentals.&amp;nbsp; Building relationships and timing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you are building relationships on a consistent basis,  when the timing is right...the business comes to you!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How do I build relationships?&amp;nbsp; That's another blog - for today's message, I'm assuming you have a core group of contacts that you have build relationships with both, in your industry and those who compliment what you do.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How do you stay 'Top of Mind'?&amp;nbsp; It really is as simple as sending a card a day!&amp;nbsp; You don't need to send a card to everyone you know everyday, but at least send one card a day to one person.&amp;nbsp; But, there are some rules....&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The card can not be to sell them your products or service.&amp;nbsp; This card is a mechanism for communication.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;em&gt;What do I say in the card?&lt;/em&gt;&amp;nbsp; You can send them a card that includes some interesting information, facts or quotes from an article that relates to their business or industry.&amp;nbsp; These are my favorite, because it is all about THEM!&amp;nbsp; People are always tuned into the radio station WIFM...'What's in it for me'.&amp;nbsp; They will tend to not only READ the card, but remember YOU sent it to them.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;

&lt;em&gt;Can I promote me (not sell)?&amp;nbsp; &lt;/em&gt;Yes, if kept on the sincere level that you are truly communicating information and not selling directly to them.&amp;nbsp; For example... "Hi Robert, This is fun times in the market isn't it?&amp;nbsp; I just wanted to keep you in the loop of the exciting times we are having at XYZ Real Estate Company.&amp;nbsp; We have proudly brought on board 3 new associates to our team.&amp;nbsp; This will assist our company to continue our superior customer service service, providing qualified buyers and bringing together the right team of professionals in making the entire transaction benefit all the best way possible.&amp;nbsp; We appreciate working with your great team at ABC Mortgage Company and know that we are continuing to work daily on what we do best that we can service your clients the best we can.&amp;nbsp; Keep in touch and hope to see you again soon."&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Send a card when they least expect it.&amp;nbsp; 93% of all mail is either bills or junk mail.&amp;nbsp; Make their day by sending a REAL card.&amp;nbsp; I promise...that will be the FIRST piece of mail they open!&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;

&lt;em&gt;What is an unexpected card?&amp;nbsp; &lt;/em&gt;This absolutely does not include your business card, logo, latest sale or promotion.&amp;nbsp; Send a 'thought of you today', "Happy Monday", Trick-or-Treat", "April Fools", Summer is here" card...whatever you can think of that would be unexpected.&amp;nbsp; Be creative.&amp;nbsp; My favorite was the "Trick-or-Treat" card.&amp;nbsp; How many adults receive that kind of card?&amp;nbsp; My message was...."There's no "trick", just thought I'd "treat" you with this fun card today.&amp;nbsp; Have an awesome day!"&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;em&gt;Give to Give.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/em&gt;Send these cards with the intention to GIVE, not get anything in return.&amp;nbsp; When you give, you forget.&amp;nbsp; When you receive you remember.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;It's the little things that make a BIG difference.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;How are you staying TOP OF MIND to those you want to do business with, generate more referrals, let those you care about know you care about them, and how about your current clients?&amp;nbsp; Do they know you still think about them and how much you value their loyalty?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Send a card a day...it keeps the competitor away...and so much more!&lt;/p&gt;
