I don't know if you as a real estate professional feel the way I do, but this kind of articles makes me sick. What you see here is the media putting out their opinion with knowledge of the industry. If a person purchased a home with the intention that he or she will always have the opportunity to tap into their home equity as they please, they shouldn't be homeowner.

Fannie Mae is reinstating required homeownership counseling for first-time buyers who don't have a solid credit history or are seeking loans tailored for low- and moderate-income buyers. Beginning Jan. 1, Fannie Mae will require counseling for home buyers relying on nontraditional credit or obtaining a MyCommunityMortgage loan to purchase a single-family home. Fannie Mae already requires pre-purchase counseling, including landlord education for borrowers purchasing a two- to four-unit property using a MyCommunityMortgage loan.

Yesterday a good friend of mine from California called me regarding the "new deal" he is working on, Short Refinances.
He said that after closing a few of these loans he has learned the process and make it easy for him by using the FHA Secure, de new loan program designed to help homeowner upside down on their mortgage, in financial distress or with an adjustable rate.

Home loans held by illegal immigrants in California and across the nation generally have had fewer delinquencies than similar loans held by U.S. citizens, in part because of stricter lending requirements, according to banks, insurers and Realtors, reports The Times' Anna Gorman.

Dear Friend,
I will be voting "no" today on the Wall Street Bailout bill.  American taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for the irresponsible behavior of Wall Street executives.  The average citizen is forced to play by the rules, yet many who did not now get a massive bailout from taxpayers in this plan.  This is fundamentally unfair. By bailing out reckless behavior we encourage future reckless behavior.
