Peter Frampton will be holding a concert at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Wednesday, November 17th. While his is a name that a lot of the youth probably aren't all that familiar with, his song "Baby, I Love Your Way" remains one of Maui's favorites. Peter Frampton is one of the most celebrated guitarists in rock history, and he is, of course, a Grammy Award winner. New Maui Flights Via Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines - 11/04/10 02:58 PM
New flights to Kahului, Maui have begun via both Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. Alaska Air has added daily service to and from San Diego, California, and Hawaiian has begun twice-weekly non-stop service to and from Las Vegas. Alaska Airlines will also debut a Hawaiian-themed menu on flights to Hawaii, and on top of that, for a limited time they had offered up to $250 off a line of their vacation packages, including air transportation, lodging, optional tours and ground transportation. Hawaii Receives Grant for Broadband Technology Development - 11/03/10 02:36 PM
The latest news is that Hawaii will be receiving $2.4 million in federal stimulus funds from the U.S. Department of Commerce for the development of broadband technology. The Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs will be awarded the money, which was part of a final round of grants under the State Broadband Data and Development grant program. The U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration is working to implement broadband technology for economic purposes. Educational Camping Excursion for Students - 11/01/10 02:08 PM
The Maui Huliau Foundation is holding an Eco-Adventure Program for students aged 12-18 from October 4th-6th. This is a great opportunity for students to get a solid educational experience through immersion via a 3 day, 2 night camping excursion. Students will get to explore various locations from Haleakala crater to the Hana shoreline.
