Is Now A Good Time for Buying Real Estate? - 09/29/11 09:37 AM

Over the course of the last few years I have heard real estate agents debate this question over and over again.  Call me crazy, but I don't see why this is even a topic of discussion.
Buy Real Estate Now When I am asked by real estate agents or by consumers whether or not it is a good time to buy my answer is always the same "YES".  Thankfully I do work in a market that hasn't been hit as hard in this housing down turn, but it has been hit.  But all that means is that I have to … (3 comments)

The Clock is Ticking - 09/27/11 08:30 AM
We've all heard of Murphy's Law, but how many of you have heard of Parkinson's Law?
Parkinson's Law States This... "Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion"
I'm Too "Busy"  The buzz word for most people today is "busy".  If you ask almost anyone you know how they are doing they will tell you they are "busy".  I've heard this term so often now that it has lost all of its meaning.  When taking a poll of new real estate agents recently I asked them to describe their "real estate week".   Agent, after agent, after agent went … (4 comments)

Whatever Happened to Customer Service - 09/22/11 09:42 AM

Build a Relationship With Your Lender We also know that a solid relationship with a variety of lenders is invaluable to our business and to our clients.  One lender does not fit all.  Helping your client select the right lender for their needs can make all the difference in the world.
But What About the Title Company? But how many of us have thought about building those very same types of relationships with our … (4 comments)

New Rules for Vacationing Real Estate Agents - 09/07/11 09:45 AM
I know that for many people, real estate agents included...vacation season is over.  But I decided to write this blog now because before you know it the holidays will be upon us and agents will be back in vacation mode.
All I want to ask of you here is that you prepare for your vacation.  While I am a firm believer that there are painfully few real estate emergencies (if any), business does have to go on in your absence.  In the words of Bill Maher, it's time for some "New Rules".
New Rule - Leave Someone in Charge It's easy … (3 comments)
