Yesterday was a day of chores and family. Real Estate has a way of bringing those two together. I could never do what we Realtors do without the help of my family. Ever since my children were old enough to lick a stamp, clean dads office, help decorate for holidays, my family has been behind me 100%.

We moved the right direction this week with 9 closings this week compared to 7 last week in our very narrow category of stick-built single family homes within the City limits of Minot. Of the homes that closed this week the average days on market was 147, a slight increase of the days on market of last weeks 141.
The chart above is the total MLS activity for the week. This includes ALL types of properties as well as all cities in our MLS. The chart below is very restrictive as explained below.

I don't remember which Star Trek Movie they introduced the The U.S.S. Excelsior NX-2000 in but I do remember that it had Transwarp Drive. How cool would that be?

We had 7 closings this week compared to 9 last week in our very narrow category of stick-built single family homes within the City limits of Minot. It's the time of year again for the KHRT Radio Sharathon. It's kind of like a telethon but it's a way that our Christian Radio station raises funds to stay on the air.
Because KHRT refuses to air alcohol, tobacco, or casino advertising they it leaves them a little short for operating expenses so they hold a Sharathon two times a year to make up for that lack of revenue.
I enjoy volunteering to answer phones one morning each Sharathon. This spring I volunteered to help out two days. This is day two for me and it's been a GREAT morning. I hope I … (10 comments)

What you see here is the demolition of the North Broadway bridge, a two year project. They just started the removal of the North bound lanes. The bridge spans the Mouse River and several rail road tracks. I assume the boat is kept handy in case a worker should accidentally fall into the river during construction.

Yesterday I greeted a guest as she pulled up to the house to visit. As we started to visit in the front yard a lion started his wind-up into his roar.
I don't know if you have ever heard a real lion roar before but they build up to it by kinda panting (loudly) and then build up to a roar.
My guest was a bit startled and worried as she was looking to see where the lion was.

Another "Something To Do" In Minot
Despite the cry of "there is nothing to do in Minot" there are a good number of folks that would disagree and say there is nothing better on Earth than fishing.
During my photo walk tonight I captured this dad teaching his boy how to fish the river by the dam just off of Burdick Expressway East.
The City has several fishing docks set up but shore fishing by the dams seem to be the most popular.
One last note about river fishing in Minot on the Mouse River. Occasionally the game warden will come around and check for fishing licenses.

Prom night always confirms Dady's worst nightmare.
His little girl is growing up and much of the world doesn't she his daughter as a little girl anymore... she is now seen by many as a young lady or even a woman.
I've actually seen my daughter as a young lady for a couple of years now. Seen her in her Jr. ROTC uniform, her Police Explores uniform, all dressed up for confirmation and many more special events.

On my trip to and from the hardware store today I ran into two classics.
I bought one of the two.
As far as I can figure from looking at Wikipedia it's a 1969 Ghia model. Wiki tells us that there were seven generations of the Chrysler Imperial, the first generation was the 1955 and 1966 models. The second generation was from 1957 through 1966 which is where this one fits into. Look at the trunk on this thing... If the parking lot was full I may have parked my Toyota in it.
