             Active and Sold - December 2009 and 2008 Comparisons  
Our Active Residential Listings (Inventory) numbers have decreased somewhat, are falling away from the "peak" and actually had a slight decrease over December of last year. These are all positive factors. 
The Average Asking Price had a decrease (7%), which the slower market influenced, and the Median Asking Price has decreased 10%. That is mostly because of the higher priced homes in our market taking "price reductions".
December Home sales had a decent increase of 38% over December 2008. This is a possible indication the market … (0 comments)

259 parcels of vacant land have been Sold in 2009 in Buncombe County with an Average Sold Price of $98,971<. Both the number of sales and selling price were down a fair amount from last year.
