Mortgage Rates Hit Lowest Level Ever - Great News For Buyers and Sellers! - 08/18/11 06:25 PM



Freddie Mac just announced that US mortgage rates reached their lowest in more than 50 years this week!
The average rate for a 30-year fixed loan fell over .15%, from 4.32% to 4.15 percent in the week that ended today. According to Freddie Mac’s weekly survey, the previous low was 4.17 percent in November 2010. Additionally, the average 15-year rate fell to 3.36% from 3.5%.
This is wonderful news for home buyers, sellers, and refinancers. Home sellers can expect to see a rise in prospective buyers who are thrilled to take advantage of these incredibly low interest rates.
