Getting Pre-Approved to Buy a New Home - 05/26/08 01:18 PM
In today's market it is very important to get a pre-approval from your lender, before you go house shopping.  There are two very good reasons;1.  You'll know exactly how much mortgage for which you qualify.2.  You'll have more leverage in negotiations with the seller.  Some sellers won't even consider an offer if the buyer does not have a pre-approval letter.    You may have a rough idea of how much you will feel comfortable paying on your mortgage.  However, there's no easy way to translate that into a specific maximum mortgage amount because of other factors -- down payment amount, mortgage insurance, property taxes, … (0 comments)

What I Do and Why I Do It! May 20, 2008 - 05/20/08 07:54 PM
I am a Realtor.  There is a capital "R" in Realtor, as opposed to realtor, because true Realtors are a member of the National Association of Realtors and are sworn to adhere to a strict code of ethics.  They can be reprimanded or kicked-out of this organization for not upholding this code.  Why am I a realtor?  There are many reasons!  Beginning as a teenager I have always loved to design and decorate houses.  None of my designs became real houses, but that didn't stop me from the enjoyment of designing, decorating and dreaming. For a while I dated a young man who … (2 comments)

Why is Colorado Such a Great Place to Live? - 05/08/08 03:06 PM
I have lived in Colorado since 2002, six years now.  I tell everyone that I came here kicking and screaming because I thought I couldn't drive on ice and snow.  Guess What!
