midtown atlanta restaurants: Steamhouse Lounge Midtown Atlanta GA - 07/03/11 10:20 AM
Steamhouse Lounge in Midtown Atlanta obviously got lost on it's way to the ocean. What I mean is, this is the kind of seafood restaurant you expect at an oceanside resort. The kind you would find the locals hanging out, shuckin oysters and drinking Bud Lights. Instead, Steamhouse Lounge is located in the middle of Midtown Atlanta, in the shadow of 30+ story buildings. It relocated to Midtown Atlanta after the "city fathers" of Buckhead decided to shut down the over rowdy Buckhead Village area after some unwanted crime and much vocal complaints from neighboring residents. Steamhouse Lounge was one of

midtown atlanta restaurants: Tin Lizzy Cantina - Midtown Atlanta It's Yum Yum! - 09/25/10 10:23 PM
Tin Lizzy Cantina - Midtown Atlanta It's Yum Yum! My restaurant visits are not what they use to be. But I do get an opportunity to sample things as I plan the monthly Mingle In Midtown, a social happy hour for the Midtown Neighbors' Association. A new restaurant had opened in Midtown, so I quickly reached out to the owner, Andy McKoski about hosting our event. This is not the first Tin Lizzy. They have locations on Memorial Drive and Piedmont Road in Buckhead. But the addition of Tin Lizzy Midtown Atlanta is awesome. First off, it's in a great location

midtown atlanta restaurants: Midtown Atlanta Restaurant Week - September 4-12, 2010 - 08/30/10 06:06 PM
Midtown Atlanta Restaurant Week - September 4-12, 2010 There is just nothing better than a restaurant week to get you out of your Midtown Atlanta condo! And if you live outside the Midtown Atlanta area, then what better reason to visit than the Midtown Atlanta Restaurant Week! From Saturday, September 4 - Sunday, September 12, you will be able to enjoy a $25 three-course, prix fixe dinner at some 30, yes, count them THIRTY restaurants!! How cool is that! Now, as a disclaimer, I must first say that not all of these restaurants are IN Midtown Atlanta....so not sure exactly how

midtown atlanta restaurants: Lindbergh Varsity Jr. Shutting down after 45 Years! OMG! - 08/07/10 08:31 AM
Lindbergh Varsity Jr. Shutting down after 45 Years! OMG! But what makes this story so sad, is it's not economics ( in one sense....) it's plain stupid government...... Varsity Vice-President John Browne called the decision to close the 45-year-old Lindbergh diner "absolutely one of the toughest we ever made." A makeover had been planned for years, but the Varsity and the City of Atlanta clashed over how many driveways in and out of the restaurant would be allowed. Currently there's three, but the city would approve only one for a rezoned Varsity Jr. Mind you, I sit on the Board

midtown atlanta restaurants: Einstein's Midtown Atlanta - A Great Patio Restaurant! - 04/02/10 07:15 PM
Ah yes.....80 degrees and sunshine! What's the first thing you want to do? Hit the elevator, run through the lobby into the street and scream.....SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!! And if you are going to be in the street, most likely you will need some refreshments...and a place to meet your friends. In case you have not, meet Einstein's Midtown Atlanta! There are all kinds of elements that make for a great neighborhood, but one can hardly argue that good restaurants are what really make your neighborhood. Then, when they have a great location, huge outdoor patio, good great food and great awesome

midtown atlanta restaurants: Groupon. Deals and More Deals! And Who Doesn't Want A Deal Today? - 03/09/10 07:14 AM
Groupon. Deals and More Deals! And Who Doesn't Want A Deal Today? Have you heard of Groupon? Yes. No. Well, now you have. It may not be the best thing since sliced bread, but it sure helps you save a few bucks. And in today's economy, unless you are Warren Buffett, we all need a little help. And Groupon is all that! Each day they feature a discount on a restaurant, shopping, spa treatments, all kinds of great things. As I understand it, if enough people pick that discount, then you get it? I've only used it

midtown atlanta restaurants: Gordon Biersch Midtown Atlanta - 08/08/09 05:51 PM
When a restaurant opens in your neighborhood, you either never go, or you get Gordon Biersch Midtown Atlanta and it's your "home away from home!" From the first time I ate here, to Brunch today, I've always liked this restaurant. And after getting to know Chris Ernest, the Manager, I like it even more. A great supporter of the neighborhood Chris is! First off, the restaurant is just plain cool inside! The ceilings soar 2 stories and really add to the atmosphere of this restaurant. On the upper level is part of the actual brewery where you can see the big

midtown atlanta restaurants: Marlow's Tavern Midtown Atlanta - 08/02/09 04:18 PM
The second best part of Marlow's Tavern Midtown after their food, is the fact that I can ride the elevator to and from! That's because they are located on the street level of Plaza Midtown Atlanta. I've gotten to know Chris, one of the Managers quite well. He's always willing to give to the neighborhood in some form or fashion, and it's usually FOOD! Marlow's is actually a local chain with Midtown being their first InTown location! Alpharetta, Vinings, Kennesaw, Northlake and Duluth all can claim ownership to one of these great places to eat, drink and catch a game on
