Clackamas parks… A great place for families (Max Patterson Memorial City Park) - 02/20/12 05:21 PM
My kids love parks as do most kids and Clackamas parks are a great place to take your family if you are looking for a day of fun. Max Patterson Memorial Park is located in the city of Gladstone in Clackamas County.
Now, this park was one that my kids were really enjoying and have already said they want to come back this summer as it has a water area. (Nice when it is hot out) But, it also has a merry-go-round which is my kids’ absolute favorite thing to find at a park.

One thing I have given up of resent in my quest to get in shape was candy, but I have to admit I had to take a dip in the Candyman’s shop and get some salt water taffy. If you can think of a flavor, the candy man is sure to have it. I think they said there are over 1,000 different flavors available.

Yep, Todd Clark and the Friendly Home Team do it again! We sold the ugly house, heck, even the owner called it the ugly house. It hadn’t been updated since 1971 and that includes the carpets. But, we did find a buyer for it finally who had some vision and some plans for some major updating. Both buyer and seller are now happy and we look forward to serving them both again in the future.

Take it off in the rain (End of month 7) - 02/09/12 12:41 PM
OK, this month was difficult for me and it wasn’t because I didn’t work out, not because I didn’t continue with my healthy eating. No, it was because I had to stop getting on the scale and only base what is happening with my body with a measuring tape. (And there was an actually possibility of gaining weight)

It is a sad day at Mill End Park - 02/06/12 04:51 PM
Last September I wrote about the World’s Smallest Park “Mill End Park” in Portland, Oregon. I had some fun with it and my daughter, but today it really is sad. We have been having some major wind in the Portland area and that wind was enough to take out Mill End’s only tree. Despite the tree only being about two feet tall, the wind was enough to tip it over.
So, hopefully the city will be able to restore the tree and the park to all its small glory soon.

I prefer to use my iPhone for reminders - 02/06/12 02:11 AM
Yep, I’m an iPhone user and I love using my iPhone as a reminder of all those appointments and things I need to do during my day. The main reason is I hate post-it notes, they would take over every space and I would still miss stuff because they didn’t make themselves more visible or shouting with an alarm saying here I am.
I truly felt if it wasn’t for my iPhone that I would end up like this poor person when it came trying to remind myself of all the stuff I needed to do during the day.

When you feel sorry for a client - 02/02/12 01:29 PM
I have a client that bought a brand new roof and chimney in 1999 and today they have to sell that home. The problem is the inspection came back and the roof was installed incorrectly and the chimney is pulling away from the house, cracking and pulling the roof away from the home as well.
