beaverton: Bowling with 3 year olds. In Beaverton, they don't have to be excluded!
- 08/31/11 03:25 AM
One thing most people think is bowling is for big kid’s game, but, not at Sunset Lanes in Beaverton, Oregon. They have a ramp that even the littlest of kids can put a ball on that is in some cases weigh half as much as the bowler themselves. But, with one simple light push, the ball is on its way.
At that point, they are just like any other bowler, who is praying they get a strike and when they do, they do the happy dance just like the rest of us! So, if you are looking for a place (11 comments)

beaverton: Find all foreclosed homes in zip code 97006 (Beaverton / Aloha, Oregon)
- 08/18/11 07:20 AM
With it being a buyer’s market in zip code 97006 (Beaverton / Aloha, Oregon) everyone seems to be looking for a deal, when looking to buy a home, even foreclosed homes. One of the biggest mistakes I see from buyers when they are looking for these deals is they see one and decide to wait to see if it will go any lower. This happens all the time in the foreclosed home market and around the Beaverton / Aloha, Oregon area. Zip coded 97006 at the time of this post has 15 foreclosed homes, but did you know that possibly by (4 comments)

beaverton: Welcome to the neighborhood… Welcomed guest
- 08/09/11 05:48 AM
Recently I was showing homes and had to stop in the road because there was a bunny in the middle of the road. Now, this is weird, but that bunny wasn’t about to move for little ole me and my car. That is when a person came out and picked up rabbit and moved it to the side of the road.
That is when we just thought it was their pet and continued to drive. But, then there was another and another and yet another. That day we probably end up seeing some 20 rabbits all over the place, so (10 comments)
I loved this barn, but I do have to say this barn was close to being gone and beyond recovery. But, despite it not being safe for anyone to go into today, I could here it saying I will survive. It certainly still made a great home for many creatures, including one deer and from the sounds I heard it is the home to many birds. So, I hope this great old barn never gives up and never surrenders and one day can be brought back to life. (13 comments)

beaverton: How much is peace and quiet worth when you buy a home
- 08/04/11 04:50 AM
How much is peace and quiet worth when you buy a home? This was the question some of my newest clients had when they purchased a home. Why did they have this question? Well, the house they were buying was one of the most expensive in the city and would have been the highest priced home sold in the last six months upon close. Despite all that, they had to have this home, it was a worry when it came to the appraisal, but they were buying the home as well as the peace and quiet that came with this home, (14 comments)

beaverton: Please don’t shoot the messenger
- 07/27/11 09:03 AM
Please don’t shoot the messenger, that is all I have to say about our local market right now. A couple weeks ago I had some clients put in an offer on a nice home in Beaverton, but we just couldn’t put in a full price offer based on the CMA I pulled. (There was a difference of about $25,000, but my clients wanted this home) You see this home has already been on the market for about 5 months and is in amazing condition. (That should tell you it is overpriced right there) But, they stuck with their guns and their (41 comments)
Another home left abandoned in Beaverton, Oregon. Unlike a lot of the short sales and foreclosures that litter our market as shadow inventory, this one served its purpose. Hopefully another couple can move in next year and raise a family together until they are ready to move on as well. (9 comments)

beaverton: Lexington neighborhood homes for sale
- 07/19/11 05:44 AM
Presently there are lots of Lexington neighborhood homes for sale. Many of these homes are priced very well and are in some cases 1/3-1/2 of what they were just 3 years ago. The Lexington neighborhood is an older area with a lot of homes built between the 1960s-1980s and many of the families there have lived there since that time. So, if you are looking to live in a well established area with great schools and neighbors, then check out the Lexington neighborhood of the Aloha / Beaverton area. (3 comments)
