My kids love parks as do most kids and Clackamas parks are a great place to take your family if you are looking for a day of fun. Max Patterson Memorial Park is located in the city of Gladstone in Clackamas County. Now, this park was one that my kids were really enjoying and have already said they want to come back this summer as it has a water area. (Nice when it is hot out) But, it also has a merry-go-round which is my kids’ absolute favorite thing to find at a park.

Mill Street Park in Canby, Oregon is a great family park located in the heart of Canby. This park is a rather large park with lots of things to do for the whole family. My son really liked the tractor arm toy, where he could dig and move dirt. But, we also could have played baseball, basketball or even played tennis. I’ve decided that it was time to find places to take the family on a daily basis that involved hikes that lasted an hour or two. For a combination of reason, one to just spend time with the family, two to get some exercise and third was to educate our children. Gladstone Real Estate: Parks make a community! What makes me say that? One thing I love about Oregon and Gladstone is no exception is that we have lots of parks though out the community. When you go to these parks with your family it truly is a bonding experience. Lake Oswego Real Estate: Hide and Seek is easy when you have trees this old. While out and about this weekend my kids managed to find a place where they thought they should bring their friends for a great game of hide and seek. They figured when you have a tree that is big enough that you can actually hide under its roots, that this is the place for them! Clackamas County Real Estate History: What was once first is now lost to time. The picture below is a picture of a long abandoned railroad bridge, but what is significant about the bridge is that it was a race to finish it. Back in the early days of the railroad there were two competing railroads and unlike today’s government where they pay people to create things like this, our government did something that was genius! Clackamas County Real Estate: There is a new sheriff in town or so we thought! While out Geocaching with the family near local cemeteries we came across what we thought was an old west sheriff. This person had this badge above their tombstone, but upon further investigation we found out that our resident who was born in 1842 wasn’t a sheriff at all. One thing I love about being in Real Estate and exploring Clackamas County is with every new location, you find out a little piece of history about that community. With it being Halloween time, my family decided to go to some Clackamas County cemeteries.

Clackamas County this week has announced a burn ban because we have a week of very unusual high temperatures and very dry weather. These two things combined with very low humidity have been a recipe for wildfires. This burn ban isn’t the normal burn ban either, this also included backyard fire pits and campfires. Summerfield Park: North Clackamas Parks and Recreation is a small little neighborhood park, but if you need a break, then this is the park for you. One thing I really liked about this park was despite its small size it had a lot for little kids and even had a bathroom.
If you live in the area of Sunnyside Road, then I would suggest checking out this park, it would be well worth it and small kids will love it. Summerfield Park in Happy Valley, run by the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation Department. … (4 comments)

I know you said you would invest in real estate in the Portland area when pigs fly, well… This is the time, because pigs are starting to take flight! You see right now you can buy properties on mortgages again at monthly payments that are well below what the current rent would be on those homes. Presently more than a 1/3 of the homes are being bought up by smart investors who are buying these properties for prices that are giving them a monthly income of up to $500 a month! One of the things I love about selling homes is the excitement in the client’s eyes when I hand them the keys to their new home. Their face lights up, there is a sense of pride and excitement. They realize that this home is theirs and they don’t have to worry about a knock on the door from the landlord. Now, this time when I met the clients at their new home to hand them the keys, I didn’t have to wait to see their excitement, I could see it from 3 blocks away.
