For the first time in my life, today, when I went fishing I got to stop and watch everyone else fish. I caught mylimit. I was amazed! I have fished at this lake for years and never have even come close. But, today, I didsomething different! I actually caught fish!

Detroit Lake is located 59 miles east of Salem, Oregon on hwy 22, and what an experience it is! The lake is a man made lake that was made when they constructed the Detroit Dam to help prevent flooding from runoff.
