future: Controlling your destination - 10/06/11 11:50 AM
One thing life has taught me is that you choose your destination. This picture where this little girl was telling the ocean in no uncertain terms that she couldn’t be gotten! She was choosing her own destination. Do you wake up and decide that the stock market or the real estate market can’t get you? I won’t let outside factors like that affect my business! The harder the market hits me, the harder I hit back and the busier I get!

future: Where is today going to take you? - 07/25/11 10:04 AM
150 years ago you didn’t have much choice how you were going to travel, you either took a horse or you took the much faster train. Today, there are a lot of pieces of technology that represent the horse and the train of 150 years ago. Today when you get up, look at how you run your business. No, really look! Are their things you can do to simplify your business? Is there stuff you can do to automate your business to make it more efficient without actually changing it, but actually enhancing it? You bet there are, the question is

future: What happened to my Activerain? What the heck is a Houseble - 04/01/11 04:15 AM
I was working on my Stats posts that I work with Thursday night and there it was at the top, it said “Houseble”. What the heck is Houseble and where is my Activerain. Now, I have all these pretty shirts that say Activerain, what to do with them. OK, this raises a lot of questions for me. Is this going to change links within Google? Will Activerain become Houseble.com ? What does this do for our linking juice from places like Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites. I’m sure there is nothing to really worry about, but as

future: Did you remove your sunglasses? - 12/07/10 12:38 PM
This sign reminded me of the present real estate market. I see a lot of hope, but we are in a tunnel that once we are out of it the sun will appear again. But, there are still a lot of slow moving agents in our way that once we reach the otherside of the tunnel they will be behind us because I don't plan to wait for them, I plan to pass them!

future: Change is coming! - 02/18/09 12:16 PM
We heard it all through the election, "Change is coming" and yes, change was coming, no matter who was elected, we were going to get change. No two people are exactly alike, even if they are from the same political party. But, was the change we expected what we got? I'm starting to think the change that was said was coming is the change that was going to be left in our pocket at the end of the month. I do have a problem with the stimulus package, but that isn't really what this post is about. This is more about

future: Does real estate need a physical therapist to recover? - 09/27/08 12:07 AM
With the federal bailout of the financial institutions looking like only hours away, we need to look at the physical damage that these crashes have caused on the market and the country as a whole. Throwing money at the problem may not be the best answer, but I'm guessing that is all we are going to get. If you have ever been in a serious car accident then you know that you usually have to go through physical therapy to get back to 100%. It is never as simple as getting home calling the insurance company asking for a large check

future: Why not exceed! - 05/23/08 04:46 AM
I met with a client yesterday and her best friend was there, as she needed to come up and help her son, so, she drove up from Southern Oregon, and decided to hang with her friend at the same time. This friend was wise beyond her years and because of it, in that hour we talked, I gained a friend, and wisdom, that will propel me to new levels in life and business. This wisdom she bestowed on me showed me that what I'm doing right today, toward others and my family, will repay itself 10 times over in the future.

future: Beaverton Oregon Real Estate: Spend the same on your child’s college and invest in your children’s future - 09/13/07 10:26 AM
You are about to send you kid off to college and he is going to be renting a room for the next four years at a cost of $500 per month. Why not take that $24,000 and gift it to your child and let him buy a tri-plex or a four-plex? Instead of paying $500 a month he could be collecting $2,500-$3000 a month. In college, students don'tnecessarily rent a house or a unit, they rent a room. If you have 3, two bedroom units available, and you rent each room for $500 a month, your child is making $3,000 a
