As many people know we homeschool our children and it is a decision that we never have regretted. But, there are times that we just don’t know a subject good enough to want to try to teach our children ourselves and so we seek the advice of an expert.
Saturday was one of those times we seek the advice of an expert, this expert happen to be Grandma. My daughter got a sewing machine for her birthday and my wife knows how to sew, but nothing like Grandma, so we trekked over to Grandma’s house and let the expert teach … (10 comments)

OK, I really don’t have too many pictures of me and most of the ones you do see have me sticking my tongue out at the camera unless it is a family photo. Samantha was looking at some pictures I had taken earlier in the day and decided to sneak a picture of me while I was driving. I have to say, I finally like a picture of me! (maybe it is because you can’t see the grey hair in the photo – lol)

When I am out with my school aged children during traditional school time, the question they get asked the most is, “Why aren’t you in school?”  My children have been asked this so many times, it’s not even unusual for them anymore.  In fact, they usually smile when they answer because they know they are special.
For me, home schooling is a choice I have yet to regret.  My oldest child showed excitement for learning at a very young age.  She knew all her letters and numbers before she was 3 and was reading at age 4.  I knew that … (16 comments)
