thank you: Thank you for all your help! Now, it is my turn to return the favor! - 03/05/12 12:49 PM
I just wanted to thank all of you here on Activerain for helping me with the survey this past week and the results were perfect and helped me a lot. The fact is, it helped so much that the company I have partnered with has decided to debut next Friday and we are giving the first look to you my Activerain friends.
I’ll be participating in two business building webinars that will debut this awesome business building tool to the world and to you my Activerain friends this Friday. One will take place at 9am PST and the other at 3pm … (16 comments)

thank you: Merry Christmas! - 12/25/11 11:36 AM

I would like to personally take this time to thank all of you as you are the greatest gift I could ask for! Activerain has giving new friends, new business and it just warms my heart to know that next year I will have even more friends and business because of this awesome network. It really is the gift that keeps on giving and the best part is that I get to open it up every day of the year.

thank you: Thank you for my FREEDOM! - 11/11/11 02:23 PM

Lately I have been seeing lots of protests and even heard of one protester asking why we should give vets who got injured during war money, but not him. Well, let me tell you why! Because the soldier got injured protecting your freedom to say stupid things like that! They got injured doing their job, yes job, something you can’t get because you are high on drugs and have tattoos all over your face.
That veteran sacrificed for us and we should support him, you on the other hand have done nothing for this country and expect everything. Today, … (30 comments)

thank you: Yes, I’m helping make your neighborhood beautiful - 08/24/11 12:22 AM
Sometimes a neighborhood just needs a little brightening and you never know what simple thing can do that. When I see a yard with lots of flowers in a neighborhood with no landscaping or any sign of green, it just makes me smile as one owner has taken the steps to make their yard shine and in the process has done the same to the neighborhood.
To those of you that are those who have those yards that make a neighborhood shine and bring a smile to my face… THANK YOU!

thank you: Thank you to those who gave your life so we could have ours in freedom - 05/28/11 02:05 AM

I would personally like to thank those who gave their lives so I could have the freedoms that I have today. But, as we know this weekend is to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep my freedom. I would also like to thank those families that lost these loved ones and let them know that it was not in vein and I thank those service men every morning when I wake up for the freedom they have given me and pray we never lose another service man or woman in the fight to keep those freedoms that … (41 comments)

thank you: What can help make you feel better when you’re sick? A call from Christine Donovan of course! - 03/13/11 05:22 PM

I’ve been sick the last couple days and I have to say I’ve been rather unmotivated to do anything but lie in bed and get better. But, me being me, I still answered the phone yesterday evening from my friend Christine Donovan in Costa Mesa, CA.
When Christine first called me and told me that she wanted to write a press release about me, I had to ask, why me? She told me because I was a good friend and worthy of it! That humbled me real quick and after reading the press release it was even more humbling. … (12 comments)

thank you: As the sun sets on 2010, I want to wish you all a successful 2011 - 12/31/10 08:23 PM
Though over the next couple weeks I am assuming we will be losing a few members here in the rain thanks to the annual NAR dues not being able to be paid. (I hope I am wrong about this) I do hope you all have a very, very successful 2011.

Make a business plan, get an accountability partner and hit the ground running on Monday and you are bound to be successful. I thank all those who supported me in 2010 via their friendship, accountability and their sharing. Without you I don’t think 2010 would have been as successful as … (20 comments)

thank you: Twenty extra fathers’ days - 06/20/10 03:25 PM
It was late 1988, I was in college when I got the call, my dad was dying. My dad had been a teacher since before I was born and we didn’t have a lot of money, he worked hard to provide for us. The day school let out for the summer he would go get a summer job to help provide for the family and also help with my college expenses.
But, during the summer of 1988 the year after I graduated he took a job at a fish plant and at the time didn’t think anything of getting a … (11 comments)

thank you: Freedom isn't free - 05/30/10 09:38 AM

Every time I drive past the Willamette National Cemetery it reminds me how many young men and woman gave their life for my freedom. But, there is just something special about this weekend when you drive by and see thousands upon thousands of flags placed on every grave site. It really shows the sacrifice they took to keep me and my family free. So, thank you!

thank you: Just goes to show when you don’t give up on a client, they appreciate it! - 01/12/10 12:25 PM

It has been almost a year since I started the short sale process with my now friend, Corey Hester, but I never gave up despite some major setbacks. We had 3 buyers walk and 3 extensions of closing, but despite everything, we got this short sale to a successful conclusion. Thanks, Corey, for being a great client and I know I certainly couldn’t have done it without your quick responses to issues that arose during this process.

thank you: I don't feel like typing Saturdays: OK, Today I do - THANK YOU! - 05/23/09 01:09 PM

Normally today is “I don’t feel like typing Saturdays” but somehow, today, knowing what Monday is, how could I not feel like typing when I would like to thank the servicemen and woman who gave the ultimate sacrifice for my freedom? To those families who lost service members this memorial day, I promise your sacrifice for this great country of ours is not forgotten.

When any military person gives the ultimate sacrifice so someone else can be free, we should all bow our heads and thank them for their sacrifice. My wife’s father died when she was 4 … (6 comments)

thank you: 300, a number that means a lot to me – THANK YOU! - 05/14/09 11:28 AM

Today was a big day for me in the rain. To many, it may not seem like a lot, but to me it is a big pat on the back saying that I am doing something right. Today was a big day on my blog: Barb Szabo became the 300th person to say she trusted me enough to send me business and added me as an associate.
I’ve got many more subscribers than that, but that only tells me that they like the way I write, it doesn’t say that they trust me enough to say, “Hey you should hire … (11 comments)

thank you: This week I got to experience true giving and Christmas a little early - 10/22/08 11:50 AM
About two years ago I had a client buy a new home and put a lot of her stuff in to a POD. What I didn't know was she put me as an emergency contact on the account.
On Wednesday, PODS called me saying they have been unable to reach my client and her POD was going to auction tomorrow unless they received $1900 before 9am the next day.
WOW! OK, time to make some phone calls. I call one of my friends who goes to these auctions all the time and he asks for the account number. If he could … (22 comments)

thank you: Thank you Keith Woltersdorf! - 10/07/08 08:18 AM
Last Saturday I got to say thank you to Keith for something that I wish I had done, but at the time didn't do, but I did have the chance. You see Keith Woltersdorf is a true American and he did his service to our country by serving in the United States Navy for the past 22 years. Today I was invited to his retirement.
Keith joined the Navy in 1986 when I was still in High School. He proudly served in the navy for the past 22 years. Those 22 years meant many sacrifices including missing the birth of his … (7 comments)

thank you: Patience + Support + Humor = Love & Happiness! - 07/03/08 02:41 AM
As a lot of my regular readers know, all my posts are proof read by my wife. But, not this one, this one is going up without any help as I wanted it to be a surprise. So, please don't comment on spelling or grammar today. (LOL)
Today I write about my rock, the person who keeps me grounded, but supports me in anything and everything I have done in the past 15 years. I've been lucky to have found my soul mate in my wife and 15 years ago today when we got married, it changed me!
Until the day … (13 comments)

thank you: Thanks for a wonderful father’s day kids! - 06/16/08 12:12 PM
I've written so many posts about how my dad is my best friend, how we talk everyday and do a lot of things together. I really try to make everyday father's day! But, this post isn't about my best friend, it is about my kids making me feel like the king of the world today.
First thing, upon waking up, they give me, not a tie like other fathers get, but the family tradition every year, of a shirt. Here is this year's shirt, and for some reason those hands keep getting bigger each year.

But, that was only the … (5 comments)

thank you: You couldn’t have made me prouder - 06/09/08 12:45 PM
It was a wild weekend and one that I will never forget as my heart skipped a beat a few times, but you never let me down. Last year, I started coaching softball in the middle of the year after the other coach just up and quit in the middle of the season because of some words that were said about her coaching style.
It was tough, those poor girls only won one game all season long. Only three of those 12 girls came back this year. I was asked by last year's assistant coach to give it one more shot … (12 comments)

thank you: Knowing who is behind the scenes: Gifts of appreciation - 05/10/08 04:28 PM
Sometimes in life you find your true inspirations by seeing how someone else handles a situation that you hope to never find yourself in. This post is to show my appreciation to a fellow Activerain contributor that none of you have ever heard of.
Why can I say that none of you have ever heard of this Activerainer? The reason I can say this is because this Activerainer is the woman behind the man. You have heard that behind every strong man is an even stronger woman? Well, my mentor and friend, has this woman in his corner.
Her name is … (5 comments)

thank you: Portrait of a fallen soldier - 07/11/07 07:03 PM
This is about a lady in Utah that uses her skills as a painter to give back to the families that have lost a loved on in Iraq. These portraits are so amazing and she doesn't ask for anything in return. If you are the kind of person that cries, you may not want to watch this video. Everyone that I have sent it to has cried.
Please remember our soldiers and their sacrifice for us and how just a little gesture on your part can go a long way to a family's grieving process. Please remember our soldiers and say … (7 comments)

thank you: I client put me in tears yesterday - 06/12/07 10:31 PM
Let me first tell you that I am not one that cries. I did on the day my kids were born and that was about the end of the times I can remember crying. But, let me tell you yesterday a client of mine made me tear up.
The situation was she was behind on her payments on her home after losing her job and needed help. She had her electric, water & gas had all shut off. One of her friends said, "you need to call my friend Todd and he can help you."
I did some investigation and found … (23 comments)
