time: "if this is how all realtors treat sellers, I can understand why so many people hate you!" - 05/10/10 06:52 PM
Are all realtors this inconsiderate or have I just been lucky? Because if this is how all realtors treat sellers, I can understand why so many people hate you! I am a home schooling mother of 4 kids, all under the age of 12, and my husband works nights. I am very accommodating in showing my home and I have never turned anyone away, until today. You see, for the second time this week, I’ve gathered up my family and left the house for a showing that was supposed to happen between x and y time, only to come home (26 comments)
time: Beaverton Oregon Real Estate and more: Do your homework, but don't hesitate putting an offer on that home or you may lose it! - 10/06/09 09:31 PM
Recently I had a buyer that was looking at homes. They were known for doing their homework, so when they decided to look in a new neighborhood, I didn’t think anything of it. The homes in this neighborhood were in their price range and actually a little bit bigger than the ones we had been looking at in previous neighborhoods. (It really was a great deal.) So, we go look at this one house, this was it, it was her dream home and if she loved it… so did he, and they were set. Back to the office, to write (13 comments)
time: Thanks for checking up on me… I’m alright - 07/08/09 02:18 AM
For the past two years, I have had pretty much a daily routine, one post in the morning, on in the evening, but this last Saturday afternoon I posted a “I don’t feel like typing Saturdays” post and then went for over 48 hours without a post. Well, starting this morning, I started getting calls. The first one was more of a question if Activerain was working properly and didn’t ask where I was, but the next four calls all asked if everything was alright since I hadn’t posted in a couple days. Two asked if I had actually run out (18 comments)
That is when I get the call from them telling me that they had sent me an e-mail telling me they wanted to know more about this house and if I could show it to them today. (To be (15 comments)
time: How dare you call me and tell me I’m that old! - 11/30/07 12:43 AM
Can you believe this call, especially on a day like today when my head hurt, my back hurt (because I sneezed), and I just didn't feel good already. Someone called me out of the blue, and dared to tell me I was old! Why did they do this? They dared asked me if I was coming to my 20 year high school reunion? What? That can't be? I'm not that old! I had to come to the realization that I am getting that old and here was the proof! The 5 year reunion was to put in place to see what (27 comments)
time: A card is nice, but giving back can be even better - 11/29/07 01:23 AM
Recently I've read some great articles about Xerox offering to send cards to service men, but what about their families here back in Oregon who's incomes have been cut by their spouses being over seas? What is Oregon doing about that? Well thanks to a local talk show host Lars Larson, we have the Hometown Heroes program. This program helps families that are left behind by war, and sometimes can't afford the simple things. This program was set up so people could volunteer their services to help family members of those who are at war protecting our country. You see, if (13 comments)
