If you are interested in buying a home within the West Union Elementary School boundaries, then you have come to the right place. Now, the present building isn’t the original school, it is actually the 3rd school named West Union Elementary opening its doors in 1948. washington county: Mom, why is he looking at us like he wants to eat us? - 09/07/11 01:37 AM
Mom, why is he looking at us like he wants to eat us? I’m not sure son, but stay behind me and maybe he won’t notice you. The entire time I was taking these pictures, that is how that mother cow was looking at me and that calf was really worried. I do have to admit, I did have BBQ sauce on my brain while taking the pictures. MMMM Hamburger!

washington county: Washington County Real Estate: I never thought about Oregon and the Civil War, but yesterday I got a history lesson - 09/06/11 12:57 PM
Washington County Real Estate: I never thought about Oregon and the Civil War, but yesterday I got a history lesson. You see when I think of Oregon and the civil war the only thing that ever came to my mind would be football, but not anymore! Yesterday while out Geocaching with my family we came across a really cool Geocacher that likes to hide caches near cemeteries and then give you a little history lesson about them. Now, these weren’t just normal cemeteries, these were pioneer cemeteries and many have been hidden to the public for years. Well, yesterday upon finding

washington county: My Oregon Barn Series: I will survive! - 08/09/11 02:07 AM
I loved this barn, but I do have to say this barn was close to being gone and beyond recovery. But, despite it not being safe for anyone to go into today, I could here it saying I will survive. It certainly still made a great home for many creatures, including one deer and from the sounds I heard it is the home to many birds. So, I hope this great old barn never gives up and never surrenders and one day can be brought back to life.

washington county: Oh, it is almost here… The signs are out in the fields! - 07/31/11 10:15 AM
Oh, it is almost here. The signs are out in the fields. I love corn on the cob, to me there is nothing better, but right now buying it for a $1 a cob in the stores isn’t the same. I like it when I go out to the fields grab the cob myself and get to smell the field. (And get it for 10 for a $1) Saw today the first signs that the corn season is almost here and thought I would take a picture and hopefully in about a month, I will be enjoying my first fresh cob

Old barns of Washington County, Oregon a walk through history and I invite you along for the ride. As you drive the outskirts of Washington County, you come across a lot of old barns and in some cases these barns are over 100 years old. I love driving through the farm country of Oregon and just enjoying the beauty of not having a house every 13 feet.

washington county: Lexington neighborhood homes for sale - 07/19/11 12:44 PM
Presently there are lots of Lexington neighborhood homes for sale. Many of these homes are priced very well and are in some cases 1/3-1/2 of what they were just 3 years ago. The Lexington neighborhood is an older area with a lot of homes built between the 1960s-1980s and many of the families there have lived there since that time. So, if you are looking to live in a well established area with great schools and neighbors, then check out the Lexington neighborhood of the Aloha / Beaverton area.

washington county: I know you said you would invest in real estate in the Portland area when pigs fly, well… - 07/17/11 10:53 AM
I know you said you would invest in real estate in the Portland area when pigs fly, well… This is the time, because pigs are starting to take flight! You see right now you can buy properties on mortgages again at monthly payments that are well below what the current rent would be on those homes. Presently more than a 1/3 of the homes are being bought up by smart investors who are buying these properties for prices that are giving them a monthly income of up to $500 a month! Can you imagine buying a property for $800 a month

washington county: The old church has been helping people find a home for God since 1875 in Washington County - 06/08/11 02:25 AM
The old church (that is what my kids called it) has been helping people find a home for God since 1875 in Washington County. Now, I have to say, I agree with my kids, that is an old church, especially for here in Oregon. I had to take pictures when I read the sign and realized that this church has been here almost as long as Oregon has been a state. You see, Oregon only became a state in 1859 and seeing a church that old here that still looks to me as if it was built yesterday really was kind

washington county: Buying a home in Washington County can be a trip back in time - 06/05/11 10:46 AM
One of the things I love about helping people buy a home in Washington County is it can be a trip back in time. What I love to do from time to time while showing homes is to go back roads, so we can see the rich farming areas that we have here. Getting shots of old barns like this one are what make that trip back in time so worth it.

washington county: OK, waves of maroon are beautiful this time of year - 05/29/11 10:12 AM
As we drive through many parts of Washington County right now your eyes are taken over with the sea of maroon with fields and fields of flowers. A beautiful sight for sure, but there is one problem, what are they? A lot of times there are signs along the road saying what a flower is, but for some reason, not on these and despite spending hours online trying to figure it out, I am still at a loss to what kind of flower they are. This leaves me to relax, take my allergy medicine and just sit back and enjoy
