As a mortgage brokerage owner with over 12 years of experience I proudly wear my "CEO" name everywhere I go. It's status, it shows my level of ambitiousness and hell, it's sexy. But going from closing over $600 million in loans and having 12 straight years of good six figure income to fighting to get a client with 736 FICO score closed - is anything but sexy. In fact, it's downright repulsive. I had to switch gears and re-think my road to "financial freedom."

I admit, I have turned down everything form Pre-Paid Legal, Noni Juice, Mary Kay, Ambit Energy, Amway and a host of other companies over the years. Why? Because I had no financial need, no belief in products or no belief that these companies would monetarily be worth my time. And to more honest, all the years I had spent at top notch universities taught me the way to financial freedom was through brick and mortar businesses, not network marketing. But I could not have been more uninformed.

I thank God for the current state of our dismal economy. Yeah, it's tough and yes, I will always keep my mortgage licenses active, but this flailing market has allowed me to be more receptive to bigger and better opportunities. I am now partnered with a health and wellness company that encourages people to get the toxins out of their body, homes and environment by simply switching their monthly shopping needs to our green store.

It's not appealing as other companies with the latest tech gadgets or exotic vacations, but it pays the bills and is helping people improve their quality of life. I could not have asked for more. If I could offer a piece of advice to anyone - I would say, stay open to the possibilities because you never know how God will send your biggest blessings. Look at how I received mine:-)

All the best,

Salwa
