I am back to Red Lodge after a short visit to Yellowstone National Park. Here are photos captured on the morning of July 13, 2010 from the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake. You got to be up early to see these magnificent views! Here are some other early birds! :) Here are the much awaited photos of the sunrise from the West Thumb of Yellowstone National Park. The following is a recent count of the animals living in Yellowstone Park: Cougars ....................20 Wolves ....................150 Grizzlies...................200 Bighorn Sheep.........500 Pronghorns..............500 Black Bears..............700 Moose.....................700 Mule Deers............1,000 Bison....................4,000 Elks....................10,000 In three visits to Yellowstone, I have not yet seen a cougar nor a wolf but I am more likely to see any

The following photo was taken on May 25, 2009 at Yellowstone National Park at the Lake Village. Yellowstone Lake is the largest freshwater lake above 7,000 feet (2,133 m) in North America. It is located at precisely 7,732 feet (2,376 m) above sea level and it the largest body of water in Yellowstone National Park.
