real estate: Why well built, functional landing pages increase business as much as 400% - 10/24/11 12:28 PM
Most everyone I speak with says they have at least one landing page. Most every one of them really do not have a landing page - they have an entry page. In addition to only having an entry page that page is often cluttered, offers little in the way of information to directly address the visitor's search and at best has a tiny call to action with a way to interact with the visitor. Let's start here by addressing the increase possibility I stated in the title. If you're like me you are skeptical, and well should be, of numbers and

real estate: Time Now for a Cool Change - 08/11/08 08:48 AM
The winds of change are blowing. It has nothing and everything to do with everything and nothing. Back to school time always signals a change - sometimes it's not for the good - sometimes it is. Here is the good news: there are currently 103,156 Rainers. My estimate is that 50,000 are somewhat active but 10,000 are quite active. Here is some more good news: The pen is mightier than the sword. Those of you who have read my "stuff" for the last couple of years here on AR know I can be a little too transparent from time to time.

real estate: Update from The 24 - Racking Up SEO - I Ranked 1, 2, 3, 5 & 7 on Google - 02/16/08 03:53 PM
There is a very simple way to really crank up your search engine ranking and a handful of us are enjoying it nicely! I have a nice paycheck coming next week from a loan I did in Florida because of this neat little trick that also happens to be a free resource to help build your internet presence in a great way. Let me share it with you now. The 24, if you don't know, is a blog with a limit of 24 of North America's most proficient bloggers. Many are bloggers who publish here at Active Rain as well. The purpose

real estate: Rise And Shine - Opportunity Is Calling - Today We Campaign For Greatness - 01/28/08 07:10 AM
You may not feel aggressive or competitive but if you even read this much you are! Business, like life, requires at least one basic desire: To live and thrive! It's never over - but it is constantly changing. Making the mistake of thinking you finally have it all figured out is usually a fatal act. At the very least it is incredibly crippling and most often results in a setback that, at the very least, makes you feel like you have to start over. A body that never changes is in a state of stasis - or death. What we want is

real estate: Why Active Rain Can Save Real Estate - 12/20/07 06:35 PM
- When other blogs may not be able to. Active Rain is truly community. The open forum has a great friend for real estate agents, loan officers, home stagers, title agents and attorneys, appraisers, inspectors--the list goes on. Not only do all of these people and the groups they represent have an equal voice here they each get to see inside the other's world. It saddens me that still, outside of AR pretty much, agents and loan officers seem to be at each other's throats trying to lay blame. But here on AR we get this: Blog post by agent: "Last month my closing

real estate: Assemblages: Do they help the buyer? Seller? Anyone? - 09/26/06 04:07 PM
In recent months I have seen a large number of property assemblages listed by agents from "the big names" in the business as well as some local players. As an investor I may look at this differently than the average person but obviously assemblages are meant for buyers like me and not homeowners. Interestingly not one assemblage has sold since I started tracking. I have, however, funded deals for investors who went out and did their own assemblage sans professional representation. These investors were able to purchase quite well below market average in two cases and slightly above market average on
