For those who went through Interior Redesign Training, the intimidating task of being the trainee is executing your 1st One Day Room Makeover. Part of your training course is being initiated by accomplishing an Interior Redesign - Overseen deftly by your instructor.
Having taken my training in Dallas, we arrived at our Hands-on makeover at a lovely golf course home in East Plano. Just like our favorite magazine, we stagers/redesigns have our own list of pet peeves when it comes to our craft. Here are a few....

•1.) Faux Greenery/Silks in Odd Areas. Always place trees, plants or greenery in areas that they could actually grow. Their sole purpose is to give the illusion they are real, therefore need sun to grow. Visa-Versa on silk floral arrangements. You would never place a fresh floral arrangement in direct sunlight; it would wilt and die in a day.

Upon request, I have added one picture, and am looking for helpful volunteers to assist me in adding the rest.
I know I know I'm going to get it! But I just can't help it - it's in my genome mapping. I fully and totally understand that budget and faunte de mieux -"it's all they had" sometimes defines and drives the work of a home stager, and perhaps, just perhaps I'm not privy to a stager's psychology of these techniques.
But... Here is my "Hit List" of Staging Faux Pas...
