For those who went through Interior Redesign Training, the intimidating task of being the trainee is executing your 1st One Day Room Makeover. Part of your training course is being initiated by accomplishing an Interior Redesign - Overseen deftly by your instructor.
Having taken my training in Dallas, we arrived at our Hands-on makeover at a lovely golf course home in East Plano. Upon arrival, the Home's portico entry housed a shiny black Lexus SUV, the interior oozed quality and high-style. Let us not forget that all work and no play makes us dull, non-inspired and well.... pale.
We are all entrepreneurs for a reason, it gives us independence and control over our destiny. Make sure to get outside in your own back yard, celebrate the home that we work hard for each day. Spend a few hours, no i-pods, no blowers, just you and Mom Nature checking out Spring.

Here is a recent Interior Decorating project that just got completed. Take a dated den, and update, refresh and reinvent it as a Lady-of-the-House Home Office.
The room's original closet was converted long ago to a wet bar - We removed the bar frig., sink etc... Took out the carpet, did a bit of painting and choose a color palette favorite to the homeowner ( and super stylish for 2011.)
Her view is spectacular, looking over a large pond, ravine and bridge on their property, so furniture placement was set...

HGTV's "My First Place will be airing - HMFP-1209, is scheduled to premiere Tuesday, January 12th at 8:00 pm ET (7:00 pm central).
Filmed in Wrigleyville, this fabulous flat's 2nd bedroom had some decorating challenges! Take an akward 9'x15' space with one big Honkin' window from Manly Minimal to Lady Executive Chic! Too... Work within a budget shopping from furniture to flowers and style it in 1/2 a day. Oh yeah, in the parking poor city of Chicago on a Saturday!!!
Man I used all those sassy Home Staging skills. It was a BLAST -
