Do not let ANYONE join the military!!!

‎25 disturbing facts about psych drugs, soldiers and suicides

by Mike Adams

We are living in an age of upside-downs, where right is wrong, fiction is truth and war is peace. Those who fight the wars are subjected to their own house of mirrors via pharmaceutical "treatments." Instead of providing U.S. soldiers and veterans with actual health care, the government throws pills at them and calls it "therapy."

Stimulants, antidepressants, anti-psychotics, sedatives and pain meds are the new "fuel" for America's front-line forces. While the idea of sending medicated soldiers into battle was unthinkable just three decades ago, today it's the status quo. And the cost in human lives has never been more tragic.

Here are 25 disturbing facts about psych drugs, soldiers and suicides. They are disturbing because everybody seems to be pretending there is no link between psychiatric drugs and soldier suicides. So soldiers and veterans keep dying while the Pentagon (and the VA) keep pretending they don't know why. (Sources are listed at the bottom of this article.)

1) 33% of the U.S. Army is on prescription medications, and nearly a quarter of those are on psychotropic drugs

2) In 2010, the Pentagon spent $280 million on psychiatric drugs. That number has since risen.

3) There are now over 8,000 suicides each year by U.S. soldiers and veterans; that's over 22 a day

4) 33% of those suicides are attributed to medication side effects

5) That means medications are killing more U.S. soldiers and veterans than Al-Qaeda

6) 500% more soldiers abuse prescription drugs than illegal street drugs

7) Under the Obama administration, the number of veterans waiting for VA care has risen from 11,000 in 2009 to 245,000 today

8) More active duty soldiers die from suicide than from combat: 349 dead last year

9) The number of prescriptions for Ritalin and Adderall written for active-duty soldiers has increased 1,000% in the last five years

10) For every active-duty service member who dies in battle, 25 veterans die by suicide

11) Only 1 percent of Americans have served in the Middle East, but veterans of combat there make up 20% of all suicides in the United States

12) The suicide rate of active-duty soldiers in the Civil War was only 9 - 15 per 100,000 soldiers. The suicide rate of active-duty U.S. soldiers in the Middle East is 23 per 100,000. And casualty rates were far higher in the Civil War, meaning the Civil War was more psychologically traumatic.

13) In the Korean War, the suicide rate among active-duty military soldiers was only 11 per 100,000

14) To date, the Pentagon has spent more than a billion dollars on psychiatric drugs, making it one of the largest customers of Big Pharma

15) In 2010, over 213,000 active-duty military personnel were taking medications considered "high risk" by the Pentagon

16) In the years since the Iraq War began, twice as many soldiers of the Texas Army National Guard have died of suicide than in combat

17) Defense Secretary Leon Panetta calls military suicides an "epidemic"

18) Of all the branches of the military, the Army has the highest number of suicides each year, almost 400% more than the Marines

19) Most active-duty soldiers who take psychiatric medications consume a combination of three to five prescriptions

20) The use of prescription medications by active-duty soldiers is largely unregulated. Soldiers are given a bottle of meds and sent into combat. If they run out of meds, they are given a refill, no questions asked.

21) The mainstream media says the answer to lowing suicides of veterans is to take away their guns so that they cannot shoot themselves. This is the logical equivalent to trying to fix your car's engine by removing the "check engine" light.

22) The Pentagon is initiating new research (in 2013) to try to figure out why psychiatric medications cause soldiers to commit suicide. The research involves tracking brain activity by attaching electrodes to the skull.

23) One-third of military suicides are committed by soldiers who have never seen combat

24) In the last year, the military wrote over 54,000 prescriptions for Seroquel to soldiers, and all those prescriptions were "off label," meaning the intended use has never been approved by the FDA as safe or effective.

25) Dr. Bart Billings, a retired Army Colonel and former military psychologist, refers to psychiatric drugs as a "chemical lobotomy" for soldiers.

Sources for this article (in order of appearance)

http://www.naturalnews.com/Infographic-Epidemic-Psychiatric-Drugging-...

http://www.toxicpsychiatry.com/storage/Military%20why%20are%20we%20dr...

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2012/11/ap-military-suicides-out-of-con...

http://www.mensjournal.com/magazine/in-this-issue-the-militarys-billi...

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2013/03/ap-report-says-suicide-danger-t...

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/03/02/17148761-why-modern-soldie...

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-201_162-57563857/u.s-military-suicides-ex...

http://www.upi.com/Business_News/Security-Industry/2004/01/29/Army-wo...

http://www.stripes.com/blogs/stripes-central/stripes-central-1.8040/s...

http://www.prweb.com/releases/psychiatricdrugssuicide/10/prweb1000132...

Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/039473_psychiatric_drugs_soldiers_suicides.html#ixzz2NWc16e4B

Are your children fighting for bankers?

Highly Recommended Reading

The world IS changing and we need to recognize and embrace it.

As 2012 comes to a close, I would like to share some highly recommended reading. I was not much of a reader until I reached 30. In my early 30's I read a lot of books on personal growth and development/self improvement. I needed and wanted this for myself.

I use to plow through these books, reading as much as possible. I came to a conclusion that no matter how positive we are and how many positive quotes we copy and paste, we still need to understand what is going on in the world. Peace, love and respect starts from within and one must apply these attributes to oneself first before you can share these qualities with others to fully appreciate their meanings.

In my mid and late 30's I read books that focused on understanding our world, how it operates and what we can do to make it a better place. Also, what the trend is for the future of humanity if we are to continue our survival on this planet.

Nothing is set in stone, but as a collective conscious while maintaining our individual identities, we can co-create an abundance of living so high on Earth we will ask ourselves...why didn't we do this from the start?

I give to all of you a list of highly recommended reading.

1. The Creature From Jekyll Island - A Second Look at the Federal Reserve - G. Edward Griffin

2. The Tyranny of Words - Stuart Chase

3. Lights in the Tunnel: Automation, Accelerating Technology and the Economy of the Future - Martin Ford

4. Critical Path - R. Buckminster Fuller

5. The Empathic Civilization: The Race to Global Consciousness in a World in Crisis - Jeremy Rifkin

6. The Best That Money Can't Buy - Jacque Fresco

7. Please Understand Me II - David Keirsey

The Magic 7 :) Remember, we do not have a food, water, energy and housing crisis. We have a crisis in consciousness. We can create an amazing world and live in a state of dynamic equilibrium with other species and the environment.

Please share in the comment section your recommended books.

Election Day: My Vote Is In - RBE

Resource Based Economy

The term and meaning of a Resource Based Economy was originated by Jacque Fresco. It is a holistic socio-economic system in which all goods and services are available without the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or servitude. All resources become the common heritage of all of the inhabitants, not just a select few. The premise upon which this system is based is that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resource; our practice of rationing resources through monetary methods is irrelevant and counter productive to our survival.

Modern society has access to highly advanced technology and can make available food, clothing, housing and medical care; update our educational system; and develop a limitless supply of renewable, non-contaminating energy. By supplying an efficiently designed economy, everyone can enjoy a very high standard of living with all of the amenities of a high technological society.

A resource-based economy would utilize existing resources from the land and sea, physical equipment, industrial plants, etc. to enhance the lives of the total population. In an economy based on resources rather than money, we could easily produce all of the necessities of life and provide a high standard of living for all.

Consider the following examples: At the beginning of World War II the US had a mere 600 or so first-class fighting aircraft. We rapidly overcame this short supply by turning out more than 90,000 planes a year. The question at the start of World War II was: Do we have enough funds to produce the required implements of war? The answer was no, we did not have enough money, nor did we have enough gold; but we did have more than enough resources. It was the available resources that enabled the US to achieve the high production and efficiency required to win the war. Unfortunately this is only considered in times of war.

In a resource-based economy all of the world's resources are held as the common heritage of all of Earth's people, thus eventually outgrowing the need for the artificial boundaries that separate people. This is the unifying imperative.

We must emphasize that this approach to global governance has nothing whatever in common with the present aims of an elite to form a world government with themselves and large corporations at the helm, and the vast majority of the world's population subservient to them. Our vision of globalization empowers each and every person on the planet to be the best they can be, not to live in abject subjugation to a corporate governing body.

Our proposals would not only add to the well being of people, but they would also provide the necessary information that would enable them to participate in any area of their competence. The measure of success would be based on the fulfilment of one's individual pursuits rather than the acquisition of wealth, property and power.

At present, we have enough material resources to provide a very high standard of living for all of Earth's inhabitants. Only when population exceeds the carrying capacity of the land do many problems such as greed, crime and violence emerge. By overcoming scarcity, most of the crimes and even the prisons of today's society would no longer be necessary.

A resource-based economy would make it possible to use technology to overcome scarce resources by applying renewable sources of energy, computerizing and automating manufacturing and inventory, designing safe energy-efficient cities and advanced transportation systems, providing universal health care and more relevant education, and most of all by generating a new incentive system based on human and environmental concern.

Many people believe that there is too much technology in the world today, and that technology is the major cause of our environmental pollution. This is not the case. It is the abuse and misuse of technology that should be our major concern. In a more humane civilization, instead of machines displacing people they would shorten the workday, increase the availability of goods and services, and lengthen vacation time. If we utilize new technology to raise the standard of living for all people, then the infusion of machine technology would no longer be a threat.

A resource-based world economy would also involve all-out efforts to develop new, clean, and renewable sources of energy: geothermal; controlled fusion; solar; photovoltaic; wind, wave, and tidal power; and even fuel from the oceans. We would eventually be able to have energy in unlimited quantity that could propel civilization for thousands of years. A resource-based economy must also be committed to the redesign of our cities, transportation systems, and industrial plants, allowing them to be energy efficient, clean, and conveniently serve the needs of all people.

What else would a resource-based economy mean? Technology intelligently and efficiently applied, conserves energy, reduces waste, and provides more leisure time. With automated inventory on a global scale, we can maintain a balance between production and distribution. Only nutritious and healthy food would be available and planned obsolescence would be unnecessary and non-existent in a resource-based economy.

As we outgrow the need for professions based on the monetary system, for instance lawyers, bankers, insurance agents, marketing and advertising personnel, salespersons, and stockbrokers, a considerable amount of waste will be eliminated. Considerable amounts of energy would also be saved by eliminating the duplication of competitive products such as tools, eating utensils, pots, pans and vacuum cleaners. Choice is good. But instead of hundreds of different manufacturing plants and all the paperwork and personnel required to turn out similar products, only a few of the highest quality would be needed to serve the entire population. Our only shortage is the lack of creative thought and intelligence in ourselves and our elected leaders to solve these problems. The most valuable, untapped resource today is human ingenuity.

With the elimination of debt, the fear of losing one's job will no longer be a threat. This assurance, combined with education on how to relate to one another in a much more meaningful way, could considerably reduce both mental and physical stress and leave us free to explore and develop our abilities.

If the thought of eliminating money troubles you, consider this: If a group of people with gold, diamonds and money were stranded on an island that had no resources such as food, clean air and water, their wealth would be irrelevant to their survival. It is only when resources are scarce that money can be used to control their distribution. One could not, for example, sell the air we breathe or water abundantly flowing down from a mountain stream. Although air and water are valuable, in abundance they cannot be sold.

Money is only important in a society when certain resources for survival must be rationed and the people accept money as an exchange medium for the scarce resources. Money is a social convention, an agreement if you will. It is neither a natural resource nor does it represent one. It is not necessary for survival unless we have been conditioned to accept it as such.

The Worthless Presidential Debate

1 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, the Federal Reserve was not mentioned a single time.

2 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, Ben Bernanke was not mentioned a single time.

3 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, quantitative easing was not mentioned a single time.

4 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, the term "derivatives" was not used a single time. Considering the fact that derivatives could bring down our financial system at any moment, this is an issue that should be talked about.

5 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, there was no mention of the millions of jobs that have been shipped out of the country. Considering the fact that both Obama and Romney have played a role in this, it is probably a topic they both want to avoid. Overall, the United States has lost more than 56,000 manufacturing facilities since 2001.

6 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, neither candidate mentioned that the velocity of money has plunged to a post-World War II low.

7 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, the fact that the rest of the world is beginning to reject the U.S. dollar as a reserve currency was not mentioned a single time, but this has enormous implications for our economy in the years ahead.

8 - The fact that the Social Security system is headed for massive trouble was only briefly touched on during the debate. At the moment, there are approximately 56 million Americans that are collecting Social Security benefits. By 2035, that number is projected to grow to an astounding 91 million. Overall, the Social Security system is facing a 134 trillion dollar shortfall over the next 75 years. When are our politicians going to honestly address this massive problem?

9 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, the nightmarish drought the country is experiencing right now was not mentioned a single time.

10 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, the financial meltdown in Europe was basically totally ignored. But considering the fact that Europe has a larger economy and a much larger banking system than we do, perhaps someone should have asked Obama and Romney what they plan to do when the financial system of Europe implodes.

11 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, the student loan debt bubble was only briefly mentioned.

12 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, there was not a single word about the fact that the gap between the wealthy and the poor is now larger than it has been at any point since the Great Depression.

13 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, there was no mention of TARP (which they both supported at the time). Would they both bail out the big banks if another financial crisis erupted?

14 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, there was no mention of the economic stimulus packages (which they both supported at the time). Would they both want more "economic stimulus" if we entered another recession?

15 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, neither candidate talked about the fact that most of the jobs our economy is producing now are low income jobs. In fact, since the end of the last recession, 58 percent of the jobs that have been created are low paying jobs.

16 - In an hour and a half debate about the economy, neither candidate mentioned that more than 100 million Americans are enrolled in at least one welfare program run by the federal government or that more than half of all Americans are now at least partially financially dependent on the government. I can't blame Romney for avoiding this point though - he probably wanted to avoid the phrase "47 percent" at all costs.

Is this really the best that America can do?

The Economic Collapse

United States National Debt

Impossible to pay off. Derivatives debt at $1.4 quadrillion. Impossible to pay off. Combined Gov't., personal and business debt at $55 Trillion. Impossible to pay off. We need to zero out all debt and start over by designing a new system...a sustainable system using the latest and greatest in technology and materials. More jobs are being automated at a feverish pace resulting in many not having any purchasing power to buy goods and services. Our current economy and monetary system is no longer sustainable. We can do better, much, much better!!

Are Borrowers Worth Helping? - Mortgages

I would like all those who are looking to get a mortgage to think twice about it. Seriously, think twice!! The American Dream is not what it once was if it ever was what we were told to think it was.

When you go to qualify for any loan, you are really qualifying to put yourself in debt. The bank is not lending you their money, they are creating it out of thin air and adding interest (a made up number). The banks then profit 100% on principle (debt) you create once you sign your name and 100% profit on the interest. You are credit qualifying for money the bank does not even lend. Then if you fail to make payments on NOTHING, you start to lose everything, including your credit, which is a contrivance as well.

The banks don't care about their borrowers. They care about profit!! Prfoit before people. When the banks lose, they get bailed out and the bailout is socialized for all to pay back. Then win, we lose. This is their game. Have you ever asked how money is created and how the money supply is expanded? Probably not! WHY?

Here is another article in a long list of articles that truly shows that banks care more about money than people.

FDIC Chairwoman: Mortgage Industry ‘Didn’t Think Borrowers Were Worth Helping’

Bair said that the mortgage's industry's reluctance to provide mortgage modifications stems in part from the industry's "disdain for borrowers."

QE? (whatever) is not going to help as we cannot print money forever.

There is a massive amount of debt that can never be paid off.

We cannot incrporate massive austerity measures or spend our way way out of debt.

How long do we have until our monetary system finally comes to an end? Not sure, but it is in very sad shape.

What will we do then?

LIBOR Scandal and Financial Tyranny

“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” - Jiddu Krishnamurti

The LIBOR scandal is enormous. It can no longer be ignored.

I'm at a loss for words at this point (not shocked, nothing really to say) so I'll let the article speak for itself.

The monetary and banking system was built broken so those who created it and control it can maintain differential advantage over the masses. However, it is collapsing on all fronts.

Highlights:

- 'THE MEDIA IS ALSO IMPLICATED'

- 'ALL THE BIGGEST BANKS ARE IN BED TOGETHER'

- 'PROOF OF A WORLDWIDE INTERLOCKING DIRECTORATE'

- 'THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM'

- 'GERMAN PRESS BLOWS THE WHISTLE ON THE VATICAN'

- 'THE IRS GETS AUDITED FOR BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN FRAUD -- JULY 3RD'

And more...

This is a long article but well worth it!!

The Great Revealing: US Marshals Expose Biggest Scandal in History

The Mother of All Wall Street Scandals?

The LIBOR (London Interbank Rate) rigging scandal is perhaps the biggest Wall Street hurricane yet to come to light. It is already mind boggling to know that banks do not actually lend you their money for mortgages and other loans as the money (debt) is created out of thin air when you sign the documents. Now, the 16 major banks that set LIBOR, including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America and Citi have been rigging the LIBOR interest rate by submitting fake rates lower than the actual borrowing costs to hide how much trouble the banks were truly in up until the 2008 financial crisis. On top of that, LIBOR was being rigged in every way possible for banks to profit on derivatives.

The Wall Street Scandal of All Scandals

This is insider trading of epic proportion that affects hundreds of trillions of dollars.

I'm not going in depth with this because we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. However, here are some questions to think about.

1. Is this the reason why hundreds and hundreds of top level banking and finance executives world wide have been resigning over the past year? Did they know this was coming?

2. How long can the world tolerate this corrupt fascist business model? I say fascist because when you privatize gains and socialize losses (bailouts) this is a fascist economic model. When is enough enough?

3. The country of Iceland refused to pay back the debt imposed on them by the banks. They arrested and jailed the bankers that caused them economic hardship. Does America and other countries have the will power to do the same?

4. Are we seeing the final stage of this current monetary system? If you look in the right spots, there is talk of a new financial system coming as the current one is truly unsustainable and controlled by sociopaths. Only time will tell?

5. Are you willing to accept the fate that our banking and monetary system is a game rigged to benefit the few eilte that control it?

Massive global banker scandal revealed – breaking news in the Mainstream Media

Time for a new age of enlightenment!!

Will this occur worldwide? There is a good chance it will as this system is unsustainable. There have been many resignations worldwide over the past year of top financial/banking officials. Is a new financial system on the horizon? Will it be a transitional system to set in place sustainable systems so money is no longer needed? As more jobs become automated, this action alone will cause our current monetary system to stop. There are many factors in play right now the likes we have never seen...
