 RE/MAX Executive Realty had its first “social media roundtable” event today at the Doubletree Hotel in Milford, MA. Bill Gassett, Carol Ann Palmieri and I were panelists along with Sarah Westney, the marketing technology manager for RE/MAX of New England.
Every seat was taken and the questions asked were fantastic. There was so much interest that I offered to provide sessions of instruction on how to get started blogging. The enthusiasm is there, and I hope it can be developed into a “habit forming” method of marketing for the majority of our agents.
There’s a world of instruction and information available to them within the ActiveRain platform that will make them more comfortable with proceeding with this very important task, and I'll be promoting that. The thought of blogging can be intimidating. Most will find their comfort zone. For those who don’t enjoy writing, Realbird is a simplified way of marketing listings via slide shows and Animoto videos that can be embedded in an ActiveRain blog, as one example.
There are many ways to approach online marketing for the novice blogger. It’s a matter of finding the method that works best for each agent’s needs and available timeframe. The ideal result of this effort is to create an office where the majority of its agents are working online every day. That’s a very powerful office, in my opinion, and RE/MAX Executive Realty is on track for this new endeavor.
