Did you know that the State of Florida is holding over a billion dollars in unclaimed funds? How many people have long forgotten their utility depsoit with the electric, cable or phone company? The answer is... a lot!
I found over $100 dollars in unclaimed money from my wife's alma mater and over $100 of my grandparent's money owed to them by Broward County since 1991!
If you live in Florida or ever have, you might want to do yourself a favor and do a quick search for your name.

South Florida gets famous HOLLYWOOD sign on landfill to film movie with Tom Cruise! - 05/23/11 08:29 AM

The next time that you're driving down the Florida Turnpike near Sample Road take a look at the landfill popularly known as Mount Trashmore. You will find that they have installed a H O L L Y W O O D sign on it!
They are filming a new movie called "Rock of Ages" this summer starring Tom Cruise, about a hair-band era rock star. The film will also feature some other great talent like Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Paul Giamatti. The film is slated for a June 1st, 2012 release.

Finally! Palm-Aire Park Groundbreaking Ceremony was a hit! - 05/20/11 06:56 PM

It was a full house this morning when Mayor Lamar Fisher and Vice Mayor George Brummer along with tons of City of Pompano Beach staff to break ground on Palm-Aire's newest park.
The park will consist of six tennis courts, two covered tot lots, two Boccee Ball courts, handball courts, a basketball court and a state of the art exercise pavilion.
The park is slated to be completed in late November.

The City of Pompano Beach has extended an open invitation to attend the Palm-Aire Park Ground Breaking Ceremony this Friday, May 20th, at 9:30am. The location of the new park is 3500 W Palm-Aire Drive. Refreshments will be served.
The park will feature 6 tennis courts, a basketball court, sand volleyball and various other activities.

South Florida Inventory Drops & Pending Sales Increase - 05/10/11 05:30 PM

Good news continues to befall the South Florida real estate market! While the number of listings available drop, the amount of pending sales go up. If the trend continues the prices of property will naturally appreciate given the laws of supply and demand. (photo coutesy of therealdeal.com)
