palm aire properties: Possible 10 Acre Sports Complex coming to west Pompano Beach near Palm-Aire Country Club - 03/04/11 11:05 AM
According to an article yesterday in the Sun Sentinel newspaper, a new 10 acre Sports Complex is potentially in the works on the northwest side of Atlantic Boulevard and Powerline Road. The land was donated by Palm-Aire Associates, which also plans to build a 907 unit project at 3401 W. Atlantic Blvd. However, there is no guarntee that the project will be approved by the city advisors given the overall costs.

I am saddened to report that this morning I drove by Palm-Aire Properties office to find their doors closed and nothing left inside. A note on the door says that they have in fact closed after 33 years of business and thanks there past customers for their support and business.
Everyone here at Wieder Realty wishes Ed and Linda Bosley and the Palm-Aire Properties staff a fond farewell and best wishes in their future endeavors.

On the site where Fort Lauderdale stadium now reside, a large-scale resort and water park may well occupy in the future.
The tree-style resort will consist of 300 rooms and the water park admission will be approximately $39.95.
The park would consist of giant river systems where visitors can ride inner tubes or swim between water slides, wave pools, downhill rapids and beaches. Treehouse-style hotel rooms would surround the resort. While one stadium would be partially torn down, the other would remain available for team sports, and new athletic fields would be built nearby.

The National Assocation of Realtors released the national sales figures for February today.
Sales of existings single family homes - Increased by 21%
from 9,867 in Feb 2009 to 11,890 in Feb 2010
All told that is a 13.6% more property sold from the month before
Sales of existing condos - Increased by 59%!
from 3,190 in Feb 2009 to 5,085 in Feb 2010
That is a 9.8% increase from the previous month.

Thanks to our local District 5 politician, George Brummer, Palm-Aire Country Club has been awarded with a city park that could cost upwards of 1 million dollars. Of the 44 parks and recreations centers in Greater Pompano Beach, yet only 4 are found west of I-95. However that number is going to be changing after the Pompano Beach City Commission very recently agreed to begin planning a 5 acre city park right in the center of Palm-Aire.
With approximately 15,000 residents, Palm-Aire houses almost one-third of the city's population (and voters) so I think we are entitled to the benefits of a city … (5 comments)

Things have really changed around my office in the past 60 days. Sales are brisk and it seems that we are making multiple offers just about every day. A lot of buyers are coming out of the woodwork to start buying while the prices are so low. It is sort of a no-brainer when you can buy a 1600 sqft 3 bed 2 bath condo for $105,000! We have selling villas for $220,000 & $250,000 and I just sold a completely remodeled 2 bed 2 bath highrise condo for $132,500.

I can happily say that I now dominate google searches for my farm area, Palm Aire Country Club. It is a good feeling to see my domain in the top 5 naturally (i.e. no pay per click). I have spent over a year positioning my website to become the best source of local information. I have received a lot of positive feedback and even when I thought it was complete I kept tweaking it for functionality.
Anyway, I have been in the office since around 6:30am after working about 30 hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

My office has closed nearly a million dollars in real estate this week and it feels so good!
Believe it or not, but people are in fact buying property right now. The bleak financial news helps buyers who have the means to buy property get more off the asking price. Sellers are now convinced that the sky is falling and banks are doing whatever it takes to stop the bleeding of the falling equity.

I am glad to say that real estate in Palm Aire is looking great this week. So far this week, we have sold four properties, three of which were in Palm Aire. The other was a house in Oakland Park. We are also starting to see a turnaround in phone calls and the number of keys that are going out with the agents who show our properties.
It might be a random fluxuation, but we are glad to see that buyers are interesting in buying property in Pompano Beach once again.
