banks: Asset Managers - Do You Know The Whole Truth About Your Assets? - 11/27/09 08:45 AM
This has been troubling quite a few people based on the comments. We all complain about foreclosures and short sales and the way they are handled. There's quite a few aspects of the system that many agents believe are broken. Some simple fixes could go a long way in getting some of this inventory cleared from the shelves, get people back into neighborhoods that have been devastated by foreclosure (especially in places like California, Nevada, Arizona, and Florida). The bank CEOs and asset managers really need to listen up to those of us on the ground. We see these homes

banks: Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf - Do the right thing (Or Do Something....and QUICK) - 09/11/09 01:54 PM
photo courtesy of Tony Webster It is spreading fast. I heard it on Twitter this morning. Most of you have probably seen the various news articles online today. It's pretty shocking. I was going to write a bit about my feelings on this, but when I saw Bob's post, I thought that I wouldn't be able to say it much better, so I'm just going to re-blog it. Go to Bob's post or re-blog it. If you're not a member of ActiveRain, write about it on your personal blog, Twitter about it, talk about it on Facebook - whatever,

banks: Listing agents in San Antonio: Do your foreclosure homework and save me the trouble. - 07/20/09 12:14 PM
photo courtesy of bgilliard I hate this sort of phone call. I'm picking up the phone in just a moment. It's the sort of phone call I hate to have to place. I have to let a client know some news that changes everything for them today. As of this morning, they were happy people. This afternoon, they won't be. We've been looking for a property for them for two weeks now. We're looking at foreclosures mostly and we finally found one that was going to serve their needs. We wrote a very strong offer after I did my research

banks: Thoughts From The Roundtable - My Thoughts On Jeff Belonger's Post - 06/17/09 02:22 PM
photo courtesy of ogilvyprworldwide Great posts, bring forth great ideas. This morning brought with it a new post by Jeff Belonger. I like Jeff. I don't know him other than his writing and some comments back and forth, but I like his style. He's one of those guys who has idealism, a sense of what's right and what's wrong, a strong opinion, and a desire to make real estate and more specifically lending better for all. At least that's my take on him. His post this morning, "Call to Action - We must fix the real estate market ourselves !!!,"

banks: Markteting 101 For Banks With Active Foreclosures - 03/05/09 08:35 PM
Are the banks listening? Maybe, just maybe, one of them will happen upon Stephanie Edwards-Musa's blog and read her post about "Marketing 101 For Banks With Active Foreclosures" as seen below. Perhaps they won't. Just in case, I thought I'd re-blog it and maybe, just maybe they'll happen upon mine. Or maybe, just maybe some of you will re-blog it so the next time the head of the bank's REO property division googles "bank foreclosures" he'll find hundreds if not thousands of these blogs all across ActiveRain. I doubt they will, but just in case, I'm covering the bases and
