Linking to members' posts.
A few weeks ago, while referencing a few articles by other ActiveRain members, a thought occurred to me. I spend a lot of time linking to articles, posts, and profiles of people whose blogs I read. I'm a big fan of crediting authors who inspired me to write something or who I may have quoted. Most of you do as well, especially when a post here at ActiveRain gives you an idea for your own post.

Numbers don't lie.
At the end of last week, I was a bit upset about the information going out about the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit through Twitter and various blogs, both real estate and news media related. Two of the blog posts I wrote in reaction to the situation, both at RErockstar.com, garnered a bit of attention and created a bit of discussion, but I wanted to see just how much they mattered in a world full of real estate blogs and internet chatter.

The thought process.
After reading Erik Hitzelberger's post titled, "Attention Real Estate Pros: Are you ready to be sued?" (which was written based on a comment I made on a previous post of his), I got to thinking about all the things that we can get in trouble for. As a real estate blogger, I read a lot of other blogs.
Although all real estate is locally based and every market has its own trends and peculiarities, the fact remains that many great agents out there are giving solid advice that can be used in any market. Although some of these posts specifically point out markets many miles away from us here in San Antonio, they are posts that you can glean information from when selling your home. Sometimes the ideas come at weird times.
I was out at a friend's house last night, eating homemade salsa and playing games (Battle of the Sexes isn't worth the paper its printed on, just my opinion). It was a great night and it was a nice way to spend a weekend that has been full of work. Relaxing to say the least.
