Embedding the ActiveRain Contact Page in your signature.
In my recent post about using the ActiveRain contact page, "Ambassador Series: Putting Email Links into Your Blog Posts on ActiveRain., " the idea was to help prevent spam to your email and also integrate the contact page that ActiveRain provides you into your links, to help keep uniformity throughout your ActiveRain blog.  During the comments that followed, Ann Arbor real estate agent Missy Caulk, posted a comment that raised an interesting question.
Because the focus was on linking within an individual blog post and returning the user to the same page they … (9 comments)

Your message has been delivered.
As lightning fast as the internet is, I'm not quite as fast.  I will respond to your message soon.  If you need to contact me immediately, please call or text (210) 646-HOME.
As I give my clients my full, undivided attention I do not answer phone calls or emails during showings or appointments, but leave me a message and I will get back to you as quick as possible.  There is nothing more annoying (in my eyes) than an agent who is yapping into the phone with one client or has their head buried in their … (15 comments)

Email links in your blog posts - want spam?
This morning I happened upon a post by Kathy Nielsen, a home stager in Georgia, about embedding email links into your blog posts.  While her instructional post was dead on and explained step by step how to embed email links into your blog post, I had to leave her a comment.
Back in my rock and roll days, I was also the webmaster for the band's web site which received about a million visitors a month (at our peak, we had several months that topped five million).  Being a webmaster, I … (44 comments)

contact: Search The San Antonio MLS With No Registration Required. - 09/25/09 05:41 PM

A step in the right direction.
I've been pondering the issue of registration recently.  When it comes to searching the San Antonio MLS, I am confident that RErockstar.com (my main site) provides one of the best ways to search for homes in San Antonio (thanks to my good friends at ARE-TEC).  After thinking about it for a few months, I have decided to open up the floodgates and remove all registration requirements from the site.
Why?
The answer is simple.  You would have done it anyway.  I never required registration on my site.  While searching for a home in San … (44 comments)

With love from Nigeria.
We've all received the various forms of the spam emails from Nigeria, but I got a good one recently that I thought I'd share.  In this email, someone from Illinois with a very Americanized name actually calls out the spammers and scammers.  They state that they tried to collect their money from Nigeria, but couldn't until a very friendly Nigerian took care of them.  And guess what, while at the bank, they saw that my name was on some secret master list of people that were getting paid money.  Of course, they … (14 comments)

We all love a good referral.
Its the pinnacle of a job well done in real estate.  The best pat on the back you can receive for the work you do.  The signal that you're doing things right and your clients are happy.  We all strive to get them and when you do receive one, you take great care in making sure that the referrer is thanked and the new client gets the excellent service that your past client told them about.
I received a referral a few weeks ago.
I consider this referral rather special.  … (46 comments)
