I am taking a step forward. In the past few weeks, you may have seen me speaking on various topics (ActiveRain post, AgentGenius post and comments, and Realtor.org comments - to name just a few) that directly relate to the governance of our associations (both state and national) and local boards. I have become very interested in lending my perspective, voice, and time to these groups and I have made the decision to make it know to the Texas Association of Realtors® that I would like to be considered for a seat on several committees. In light of my recent posting about the stray cat living under my deck and the response to it, I thought I'd write a little about my favorite place in San Antonio for pets and the care for the animals that get left behind. I'm speaking of the Animal Defense League. I had never heard of the ADL when I moved to San Antonio, but thanks to Mike Osterhage and KSAT12 News, I quickly became familiar with them.
