Are All Foreclosed Homes In Horrible Condition? No they are not. The banks are understanding this and know that the inventory out numbers the buyers, so they need to present each home in good condition. I have been bidding out the repairs, and in almost all cases, the carpeting replaced and new interior paint. This is giving the foreclosures an edge. Most homeowners are not going to replace the carpeting and totally repaint the interior of their home before they list it for sale.

There is a lot of disillusion when buying a Bank Owned Foreclosure. First thing to remember, this is not the traditional way to purchase a home. So traditional logic won't play. Bank Owned Foreclosures are priced to sell. Yes there are guild lines the banks follow. Banks will not agree to a 50% offer on a listing home no matter what old techniques you have heard about. That only worked when the inventory was a few foreclosure REO's listed a year. Folks, this is a new ballgame. The Housing Industry continues to Head South as the market is being populated with REO's or Foreclosure Listings. Short Sales, or Pre-Forclosures are about a third of the inventory. Last months moratorium saw the banks pull back their REO inventory to review the foreclosure paper work. Well, the foreclosure market is back in high gear as the inventory gets reintroduced and new foreclosures start to populate the market. I think in the next few months we will see the inventory explode to 50% of the homes listed.

Walt Disney World is still the largest draw world wide. No wonder Europeans and Canadians are flocking to Kissimmee, Florida to invest their money in the short term rental market. The weakening dollar has their money with exceptional buying power. So, as our housing market is limping along, the foreign investors are getting in position to make great financial gains when the US housing market makes a turn for the better.
