I shot some video of our hike to Flat Rocks yesterday.I've been wanting to show a comparison of a few video services and this is the right video to use.
Video sharing reviews are good, but most don't give you a common video to compare them. I wanted you to be able to see the quality differences. This video is a good test example because it has a great deal of detail in the trees, light reflecting off of water in the creek and some jittery movement. It was shot with the Kodak v705. Several people (and one of my favorites) have questions about just HOW to add a YouTube video to their posts. Not everyone is familiar with HTML or embed code, so I thought the best way to help is to actually create and embed a video to demonstrate. I'm a YouTube fan just like the rest of the world, but there are times when the quality doesn't quite live up to expectations. One of my favorite sites is BrightCove, but I've tested it here and their embed code is not working on ActiveRain. But Veoh.com does. See Below. You'll notice how crisp the text looks in this video. The downside of Veoh is the length of time it takes to render the video.
