If you made it out on Opening Day today...Congratulations!!

Vail kicks off the ski season with 160 acres of ski able terrain and four lifts.

consisting of 10 runs and a terrain park on Born Free. With snow in the forecast, the mountain is well on it's way to another epic season!

 The opening day festivities included $1.00 breakfast burritos and Free hot cocoa!!  not to mention $2.00 iced coffees at Loaded Joe's in Vail Village.

Also included was Sunny skies and temperatures starting out in the upper 20's and at the end of the day finishing around upper 4o's. This is sorta like heaven, kinda  snowy heaven.

 

Maybe it's time to Quit your current life and start a new one out here. I know it's easier said than done ...but.....Where there Is a will, there Is a way.

 November 16th...This year marks a really big "Huge" mile stone for Vail the BIG 5-0. 

First Tracks with the US Ski Team and Gondola Dedication will be just a couple of the great entertaining things to go  see and be a part of. 

Our Olympic Gold medalists  Lindsey Vonn, Bode Miller, Julie Mancuso and Ted Ligety will be up close and personal at the Arrabelle in Lionshead late afternoon for all you celebrity types that like to mingle with the best of the best and be in the thick of it! Cheer them on as they prepare for another world cup season.

  ... and how about that NEW Gondola, state of the art 10 passenger, 7.5 min ride up the hill. Oh yea... i'll be on that  waiting in line, first thing in the morning with my great cup of Java ...just because well, I like the rides at the fair as well! oh yea forgot to mention, it has heated seats and Wi-fi access. I don't ski opening day anymore, Bad memories of anticipating and recognizing hazards ..are hard to forget related to opening day. That's okay though, I can ski anytime ...I live here full time!! I'll get there early to watch the unveiling, Ribbon cutting and be on the first offical gondola ride maybe I'll see you there at the mountain plaza in the village at 8:30.

This truly will be a season -long celebration seven month long celebration, The Spirit of Vail is with us!!
