One of the most difficult areas for sellers and agents is disclosure. While every state is different, here is how I work with clients to disclose a death on the property-by asking questions.

As reported in Appraisal Insights via the REALTOR.org website, the Frank-Dodd Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act sunsets the Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC), .
The Code is set to expire with the release of the new appraisal independence requirements due out in October 2010.
In a recent announcement by Fannie Mae, “The revised requirements will maintain the spirit and intent of HVCC.”
Uh-oh. That is NOT good news.
