My grandmothers and mother are now in heaven, which makes the day bittersweet. I wish they were here with me, but I'm happy for them they are having GREAT days every day in heaven. Be sure to thank and honor all of the women who are mothers to you in spirit, too.

I awoke this morning with my Valentine. I kissed my sweetheart husband and we exchanged I love you's. I'd made him a card on the computer the night before. It's not a material gift exchange for us this year, although it has been in years past.
This year I am satisfied to be healthy, that my family is relatively healthy (my husband is diabetic), and we are all still here and together.
Financially...that's another story.
Love...that we have in abundance.

Six Lynbrook High Students Qualify for Intel SemiFinals

Six Lynbrook High School students just qualified for Intel's world-reknowned science competition.
Fifteen Silicon Valley high school seniors were named semifinalists in the prestigious Intel science contest. Of the fifteen, six were from San Jose's Lynbrook High School.
The six seniors recognized are David Liu, Tony Ho, Akshay Maheshwari, Ritik Malhotra, Tejas Navaratna and Raman Nelakanti.
Part of the well-known "Cupertino Schools," Lynbrook is one of five high schools in the Fremont Union High School District. Students attending Lynbrook reside in either Saratoga or San Jose.
