Week 4 of Thanksgiving Gratitude finds me Grateful for Pets.
In Week 1, I shared my gratitude for Jesus Christ, Father God and the Holy Spirit. For Week 2, I shared thankfulness for my husband, children and family. On Week 3, it was thanksgiving for friends.
Over the years, we've been blessed to enjoy many different pets. From dear kitties (now late) George, John and Taffy to Italian greyhound Skylar (also late) to bunnies Christmas, Easter and Max (again late), pets brought joy to our family.

Hallelujah! This Thanksgiving 2019, I am grateful for so many things. For Week 1, first and foremost, I'm grateful to Jesus Christ for saving me. Now for Week 2, I am grateful for my husband, children and family.

Hallelujah! This Thanksgiving 2019, I am first and foremost grateful to Jesus Christ.
As a Christian, a believer in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, I accept the truth written in the Bible that Jesus saved me from eternal hell by paying my debt of death for sin. With the unrelenting fires in Northern and Southern California, I'm feeling thankful for Thanksgiving Rain in Silicon Valley, California! With joy I saw wet plants, gray cloudy (not smoggy) skies as I retrieved my a plastic-wrapped San Jose Mercury News paper this morning. A pleasant rain accompanied me up and back to Los Altos this afternoon. I'm preparing for a Thanksgiving feast in a cozy warm home with a light rain just outside.

Many people love and enjoy their pets-dogs, cats, birds, fish and more. We've had many kitties over the years as former foster parents. Our most beloved kitty is Taffeta Angel, our nearly 20-year-old Flame Point Siamese. She is the last one standing from all of the kitties we've loved.

Often we want to look good to other people, especially on social media, such as Facebook, SnapChat and InstaGram.
But truly, our desire to do good and to please our heavenly Father should be our highest motive. Because God looks at the heart, not just the surface. He is not fooled by happy faces or sexy selfies. And of course, the heart can sometimes even deceive itself.
