Are You Blogging with the Right Mix of Local Flavors?

Here at REVStaffing, our professional real estate virtual assistants write a lot of blogs for a lot of clients in (and associated with) the real estate industry. We work hard to stay on the technological cutting edge, keeping everything that bears your name fresh and timely. You may say, “I pull my blog topics straight from Inman News.” Which is terrific; we like Inman, and we get some terrific topic ideas there!

But we're noticing an industry trend that we think is really exciting – combining timeliness with localism. We write about all kinds of topics related to real estate. What's happening in the news? How do certain federal government decisions impact on the marketplace? We provide helpful insights for both buyers and sellers. They're blogs about things that are happening right in YOUR area. As a matter of fact, the more local flavor, the better!

So, why do we think this is exciting? Well, think about. Suppose you have a blog posted about next weekend's really popular Peach Festival that's happening at a local “you-pick” farm in your service area. Somebody who's thinking about moving to your area Googles the name of the biggest town in your market. And voila! Your blog comes up within the top five (or even ten) search results. They click on the link and read your blog. They happen to like peaches...and festivals...and your blog. Now they click on the link in your blog that leads to your landing page. They like the way it looks, fill out your contact form, and you are on your way to your next happy transaction.
